Faith comes by hearing the Word. If it is not in the word it is not of faith and therefore sinful.

You cannot have faith if it is not in the Word properly understood. I think much of today's "worship" is lacking scriptural support.

I need to go now. I hate to see this thread close. But value your comments and hope similar topics happen in the future. Also thanks to the others who contributed.

The assumption there is only one Kingdom in the bible is the basis of virtually all of this lack of understanding.

In fact there are several Kingdoms outlined in the Bible.

    1. The National Kingdom.
    2. The Millennial Kingdom.
    3. The Celestial Kingdom.
    4. The Ecclesiastical Kingdom.
    5. The Spiritual Kingdom.
    6. The Moral Kingdom.
    7. The Social Kingdom
    8. The Eschatological Kingdom.

And once we come to understand the above, we can begin to examine:

    1. The Mediatorial Kingdom in Old Testament History.
    2. The Mediatorial Kingdom in Old Testament Prophecy.
    3. The Mediatorial Kingdom in the Gospels.
    4. The Mediatorial Kingdom in Acts, the Epistles, and the Revelation.

It is a grave error of understanding to overly simplify the biblical teaching on the Kingdom(s) as taught in the bible. Such a superficial understanding is the basis of much of the above confusion.

Thanks, never could spell, but I do know better. I thought that the first rule of hermeneutics was to interpret the passage literally whenever possible?
