Is divorce a theological issue

You know that you sound very much like a modern day Pharisee in this one area!

 

No repentance = no forgiveness
“Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out,” (Acts 3:19) (ESV)

 

“But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man’s judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.” (1 Corinthians 4:3)

 

The couple stand before God on Judgement day, and God states that he saw that they commited sins of a divorce and then another marriage, and they both claim to have trusted in Jesus to be their Savior, and God answers" so what?"

 

“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” (Matthew 7:22–23) (KJV 1900)

 

By your own standard you shall be judged. and take the telephone pole out of your own eyes first!

 

I'm just saying what scripture says. It gives sound judgement.

 

You quote the scriptures, but keep on giving to us the letter of the law, but not the spirit of grace!

 

So there is no more sin? Everyone goes to heaven now?

 

ONLY those whom the death of jesus atoned for will get to Heaven, but there shall be divorced and remarried persons there!

 

I'm not so sure as you are. Without holiness, none shall see the Lord.

 

You hide behind the bible, but why never a straight yes or no answer?

 

When we are wash in the blood of Jesus and clothed in His righteousness, are we not blameless in sight of God?

 

If we are saved, and now in Christ, divorcé would not undo that, does it?

 

If we are saved, we probably won't remain in sin.

 

We need to repent.

 

Sometimes people ask leading questions.

 

If one has confessed the sin to God, and the blood of Jesus is applied towards that person, to God how can that person still be in sin?

 

Repenting of a remarriage would not be breaking it apart!

 

It's adultery you are repenting from.
