You know that you sound very much like a modern day Pharisee in this one area! How many churches send more to hell than they do heaven sanctifying adulterous marriages?
No repentance = no forgivenessNONE go to hell due to divorce/remarriage, its due to rejection of Jesus to save them !
“But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man’s judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.” (1 Corinthians 4:3)You know that you sound very much like a modern day Pharisee in this one area!
The couple stand before God on Judgement day, and God states that he saw that they commited sins of a divorce and then another marriage, and they both claim to have trusted in Jesus to be their Savior, and God answers" so what?"No repentance = no forgiveness
“Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out,” (Acts 3:19) (ESV)
“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” (Matthew 7:22–23) (KJV 1900)The couple stand before God on Judgement day, and God states that he saw that they commited sins of a divorce and then another marriage, and they both claim to have trusted in Jesus to be their Savior, and God answers" so what?"
By your own standard you shall be judged. and take the telephone pole out of your own eyes first!“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” (Matthew 7:22–23) (KJV 1900)
I'm just saying what scripture says. It gives sound judgement.By your own standard you shall be judged. and take the telephone pole out of your own eyes first!
You quote the scriptures, but keep on giving to us the letter of the law, but not the spirit of grace!I'm just saying what scripture says. It gives sound judgement.
So there is no more sin? Everyone goes to heaven now?You quote the scriptures, but keep on giving to us the letter of the law, but not the spirit of grace!
ONLY those whom the death of jesus atoned for will get to Heaven, but there shall be divorced and remarried persons there! So there is no more sin? Everyone goes to heaven now?
I'm not so sure as you are. Without holiness, none shall see the Lord.ONLY those whom the death of jesus atoned for will get to Heaven, but there shall be divorced and remarried persons there!
You hide behind the bible, but why never a straight yes or no answer?“But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man’s judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.” (1 Corinthians 4:3)
When we are wash in the blood of Jesus and clothed in His righteousness, are we not blameless in sight of God?I'm not so sure as you are. Without holiness, none shall see the Lord.
If we are saved, and now in Christ, divorcé would not undo that, does it?I'm not so sure as you are. Without holiness, none shall see the Lord.
If we are saved, we probably won't remain in sin.If we are saved, and now in Christ, divorcé would not undo that, does it?
We need to repent. When we are wash in the blood of Jesus and clothed in His righteousness, are we not blameless in sight of God?
Sometimes people ask leading questions. You hide behind the bible, but why never a straight yes or no answer?
If one has confessed the sin to God, and the blood of Jesus is applied towards that person, to God how can that person still be in sin?If we are saved, we probably won't remain in sin.
Repenting of a remarriage would not be breaking it apart! We need to repent.
It's adultery you are repenting from.Repenting of a remarriage would not be breaking it apart!
