you weren't critiquing your denomination, you were name calling. Second if you are Baptist why would you use Baptist as a derogatory word?

Look man, one more time. I said from the beginning I am a baptist. And I don't lie. Whosoever shall call his brother a liar shall be in danger of hell fire.
    Don't say it again please.

Um, he didn't call you a liar. He asked a question. Feeling guilty?

I have heard that Ace is a nice guy. And I've heard from some members of MacArthur's church that he is not so nice (but with large churches the senior pastor is often a bit removed from the congregation).

I hear Alice Cooper is a nice guy....even though he sings otherwise :Laugh

Never met him. I think those I spoke with were more the type that wanted the preacher to know them personally. This just is not possible in large churches (that is why a good support staff is essential). Add to that the probability most who cry about the preacher not knowing them personally merely attend the church as a member (rather than actively participating).

Very true. But yes, the man you see in the videos like the Ligonier QA's is exactly the man you meet in person. Super nice, class act.

I live close to a couple of Klansmen who are nice guys in a lot of ways. No matter how "nice" someone is in some areas of their life, certain evils in other areas make me have no desire to fellowship with them.

When I was training for my current job one of my fellow classmates went to church with Alice Cooper. He had a good impression on the man's faith. Sometimes Christians judge the actual faith of other Christians too quickly (granted, the actions may be another issue). I have seen him give his testimony, and I appreciate what he said.

For the record, I was playing with Cooper's "No More Mr. Nice Guy".

Cooper converted late in life. Why would you want to glorify him or anything he did prior to his conversion? I would hope he no longer bites heads off chickens.

His testimony is that he was a Christian from his youth. He did describe a type of cricis of faith related to alcohol.

He still performs the Alice Cooper show. Came here this past year (his daughter sometimes performs with him). And it is still the horror show.

I am not glorifying Cooper. I am stating that we cannot so easily declair people lost. Christians can believe and do things that are not biblical.

The chicken story is interesting (if true...Cooper says it is but his bassist says it is not). The story is a chicken got on stage and Cooper, not realizing it wouldn't fly (reminiscent of WKRP) threw it off where fans killed it.

It was Ozzy who bit the head off a bat (he thought was fake) at a concert and a dove (probably on drugs) in a confrence room.

Other interesting and useless tidbits - Bob Dylan had a Christian phase. He released three Chtistian albums (Slow Train was outstanding).

Dave Mustaine says he is now a Christian. He backed out of a tour because of Satanic bands (the producers offered to take those bands off the list but Mustaine did not want to hurt the musicians). Megadeath still performs (Mustaine is probably the best guitarist of his genre).
