I'm Amillennial (with the Baptist understanding of Church). Scripture mentions 2 ages/worlds. This present evil world. And the world to come. Jesus said his kingdom is not of this world. And the world to come is without all the sickness and wickedness the physical millennial kingdom accommodates. Plenty more to follow if interest develops.

Thank you. Ok, step by step, how does that understanding lead to an Amillennial conclution?

Jesus says the kingdom arrived with him And that it is spiritual. And one must be born again to see and enter it. Also the pharisees who believed in a physical kingdom were at odds with Jesus because of the spiritual kingdom he preached.

Ok. I am not understanding how that understanding requires the Amillennial view as oppossed to the premillennial teaching understood from Revelation 20:4-6.

The 1000 years are not the kingdom Satan attacks the kingdom when the 1000 years end.

Huh? It is not and it is? I am sorry, fail to understand that.
The angel = Greek for messenger

the chain = the message (gospel); The gospel sent to the whole world.

the 1000 years = Satan bound from deceiving the elect. The saints rule over him. the 1000 years end = Satan loosed.

Note the 1000 years are not the kingdom. Satan attacks the kingdom when they end and he is loosed.

Satan loosed = the Post Christian era (we now live in = immanent return of Christ) the gospel message falls on deaf ears, the world assails the Church from all quarters ushering in the end.

“Jesus said, “This voice has not come for my benefit but for yours. Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be driven out.” (John 12:30–31) Happened at Christ's first coming.

So in essence, Revelation 20 is a panorama of the entire New Covenant era. Not a physical kingdom of the future.

This argument makes no sense. ". . . reigned with Christ a thousand years. . . ." Some connecting part part of argument I am not getting.

To me either or the Primitive Baptist brethren I grew up with... To us the 1,00 year reign is metaphorical not literal... We do not believe in a rapture or a millennal reign but we do believe in the Resurrection of the just and unjust, when the Lord comes again, to take us home... I've been watching brethren chase these rabbit trails since I joined here many, many, many years ago... They haven't convinced me yet... Brother Glen:)

1000 years = binding of Satan by the gospel through the preaching of the saints who rule over Satan in Christ.

I see the millennium as the grace age. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom. I believe Christ got up from the grave to reign forever more, not over something that will be destroyed, but over an eternal kingdom. When we are born again we enter this kingdom. Christ reigns in the hearts of the born again believer.

Quiz: What does Satan's binding consist of in Revelation 20?

" . . . And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. . . ." -- Revelstion 20:2.

There is no evidence that has already been bone in any way. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4.
