There are some who beleive that Adam and Eve were the parents of some 30 children.
Were some of those children born before Cain?

The genetic code was still excellent until in God's perfect timing He gave the Law to Moses, so we don't have to chase that stuff about incest. Since we all came from Adam and Eve, we are all related. After the Genesis Flood, the world was totally changed and God let men eat animals as well as plants. The errors in the handing down of the genetic code are thought to be the cause of the shortening of the life span, although modern medicine is keeping people alive longer as God is merciful.

This has nothing to do with the OP

We are talking about how many children that Adam and Eve may have had.

Well, your second link talks about incest, which it is not since there was no law. Nor was it harmful because the DNA was free from error. Isn't that on subject with your link?

No one knows how many children Adam and Eve had--it was 6,000 years ago.

Nothing against having a "what if" discussion... but the OP is about Biblical silence on the matter.
They may have had thousands of children and with other people. The Bible is silent about their monogamy as well.
They were [created] one man and one woman... nothing states (to my knowledge) they lived out their lives that way.

900 years is a long time for fallen man and woman to stick to just about anything good.

There are some drawbacks to what you are talking about. First, there is no Scriptural basis for a child before Cain. In fact, Eve seems elated about her new son.

Secondly, Adam was probably the smartest man who ever lived with the exception of Jesus. And Eve was perfect before the fall and Luther and others noted that she was the most beautiful woman who ever lived. So why would Adam leave her?

Finally, the sin of polygamy, and I hope that I got this right begins specifically in Genesis 4:19. If that is wrong, please correct me.

    Not sure.

This one sounds like she has already had children.

    Genesis 3:16 NLT
Then he said to the woman, “I will sharpen the pain of your pregnancy, and in pain you will give birth. And you will desire to control your husband, but he will rule over you. ”

This one sounds like Cain may have been first.

    Genesis 4:1-2 NLT
Now Adam had sexual relations with his wife, Eve, and she became pregnant. When she gave birth to Cain, she said, “With the LORD’s help, I have produced a man!” [2] Later she gave birth to his brother and named him Abel.

(I love this line of discussion.)
When Adam was created, and then Eve, God told them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth...” (Gen. 1:28) This was before the fall, before any thought of disobeying the Father.
Adam was an absolutely perfectly functioning man, and Eve was a perfectly functioning female. Both were under command to Be Fruitful and Multiply.
Now, why in the (new) world would they neglect this prime directive until after they were cast out into the wilderness, out of favor with God?
Everything about the first two chapters of Genesis indicates that Eden should have been Crawling (literally) with kids and grandkids and so on. A perfect man and a perfect woman in a perfect enfironment with direct orders to go for it??!
Besides, there’s the point of Cain’s wife and enough people for him to found a city.
I honestly believe that Adam and Eve had lots of perfect, exciting sex and babies (with no labor pains.)
Just because they aren’t named and numbered doesn’t mean they weren’t there.

The whole deal started over with Noah and his 3 sons and their wives.

Do you have evidence supporting this claim? DNA wasn't even discovered until the 20th century.

If Adam & Eve sinned but before hand they already had offspring, those offspring would have to have sinned as well. If they remained faithful then would they not be alive today?

For one thing, people no longer live as long as they did between the time of Adam and Noah.

" “the long lifespans attributed to these antediluvian patriarchs have a symbolic rather than a historical value. Babylonian tradition also recorded ten kings with fantastically high ages who reigned successively before the flood.” - footnote in the New American Bible

I don't know what your footnote proves if anything.

There is a Sumerian kings list written 1200 years before Genesis that claims long lifespan of kings. Likely influenced the author of Genesis during Babylonian captivity.

Are you denying the Mosaic authorship of Genesis?

All that was necessary was to have other children around the same time as Cain and Abel. They needn't have been born before.

There were countless people in the Garden of Eden, the children of God, ruled by a Cherub, and there was also a population outside the Eden, which certainly were not worthy to dwell to the Garden of God.

By analogy, the same will happen now with the establishment of the kingdom of God, the next world as Jesus
said (Luke 20: 25-36), and those who are not worthy to enter into the Kingdom of God will be left out, whose
environment is called by Scripture as hell, where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched, and
they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh. Mark 9:v.44 and Isa.66:v.24

Do you have a reference for that theory?
