If you were Paul and you had seen what Paul seen what would you do. Would the vision have convinced you that it was in fact Jesus Christ the Son of God. It would have me. I would have believed that very second just as Paul did. There was nothing preventing him from just walking away. In verse 6 He asked Jesus what he should do this is surrender. Of course you'll deny it because you can't see the truth.

We are here to do God's will and being willing is accepted.
2Co_8:12 For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.
If a man is not willing he is not accepted.
Christ is not willing that any perrish; Yet most do. What's up with that?
2Pe_3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

So what is powerful enough to overcome the will of God in that passage then?

Well that's just a blatant misuse of 2 Corinthians 8 and an even worse attempt to tie it to 2 Peter 3:9. MB, you should let your priest speak for you in the future.
