While there are lots of things to nitpick in articles 4 and 5, did anyone see a significant flaw?

Nits:

1) "Whole man" apparently refers to the fact both our spirit and body are redeemed.
2) There is no salvation apart from God crediting our faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.
3) Regeneration occurs after God credits our faith and places us into Christ. Faith before regeneration.
4) "Commitment of the entire personality to Him" should read "commitment of our entire personality to Him."
5) Justification occurs after God credits our faith and puts us into Christ where we undergo the washing of regeneration.
6) Sanctification initially refers to God setting a person apart in Christ (the sanctification by the Spirit) and subsequently refers to our progressive sanctification where we are conformed to the image of Christ.
7) We are first glorified spiritually as a new creation in Christ, and will be glorified physically at our bodily redemption, so glorification is a two step process.

1 Thessalonians 4:1-8 is one place where scripture presents how we are to live after being born anew. Colossians 3:10 presents us (recently reborn) as being "renewed" or renovated according to our recognition of our creator's (as a new creation) image. Another reference to progressive sanctification (maturing in Christ) is Philippians 3:12. Here Paul says he has not reached perfection yet, but is pressing on toward that goal which is a righteousness like Christ's.

Still have the stages in salvation process wrong!

The BFM is a document that changes too much for my taste. Delete this, add that. It appears to do that with the times.

Not that it does not contain truth. It's just not a concrete document.

I don't really think about it that often.

I find it ironic that some fellow Baptists decry using Confessions, and then have one right here they like to use!

Now step two will occur in the future, at the Second Coming when we are bodily redeemed. This is where our mortal body puts on immortality, 1 Corinthians 15:53. See Philippians 3:20-21 for a specific reference to our future glorification at Christ's return.

God spiritually placing our spirit in Christ and sealing us in Christ with the Spirit of Christ. Because we are in Christ and Christ is in us, we are spiritually glorified. Romans 8:30

That terminology not in scripture, as glorification refers to jsut physical resurrection!

Utterly false assertion, yet another taint so post. Romans 8:30 folks refers to the past tense fact we have been glorified. Thus not physical. Y1 is yet again just blowing smoke to derail discussion of scriptural doctrine.
