    Why was John told this:

“And when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying, Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.”
    ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭10:4‬ ‭ASV‬‬

Clearly if a Peron's goal is to manufacture conflict and difficulty, to discredit the Bible's trustworthiness, they can do it.

At the end of the day, our copy of scripture contains mistakes, probably introduced during transmission where copyists changed things on purpose or by accident. It seems sound that the original autographs, as inspired contained no errors as to the intended message, even if the flawed understanding of the human writer may have crept into the text. But since we do not know, my belief remains that the Bible is completely trustworthy and reliable, and is our final authority for faith and practice.

We know who would desire to discredit the Bible, and they are evil.

My Bible (KJB) does not contain any "mistakes" in its 'God preserved' words (Psalms 12:6-7; Deuteronomy 8:3; Matthew 4:4; Luke 4:4; John 10:35, etc). I find it so sad that Christians hold such a low view of the word of God, even of God Himself, as if He could not devise means beyond the faulty instrumentality of humanity to preserve His own inspired words, and due to all of the corrupt MSS, and varied devil-manufactured methods of 'criticism', that passes itself off as wisdom from God.

May these bring healing to the sin sick souls:

Oh, that word "seems" says so much.

That you have never seen, nor touched, nor experienced, and no longer exist anywhere on earth, all long gone to the 2nd law of thermodynamics, and providence of God.

Oh joy, what magnificent faith in the 'message'. You could not find it in yourself to address the "words" themselves as being "inspired" and containing "no errors", but rather jump straight to the "message". Yes, indeed, some 'faith' you have there.

Ah yes, those "holy men of God" just couldn't quite get the words out, and just had "flawed" "writ[ten] " material all throughout. So, when you say you "believe" in the "original autographs", what exactly are you believing in? It sounds like a morass of human error, which "crept into the text". How did it 'creep' in there in the first place? God is the God of truth and not error, the God of order and not confusion? Are you implying that the devil and human nature are stronger than God's power and authority to withhold error from His own inspired word? If you truly believe these things, then how do you know what numbers to trust, which miracles to trust and are not exaggerated, etc? The slope upon which you stand to judge God's word leads downward and not upward.

Well, so much for real knowledge, the previous statements are all just aprioric conjecture then, eh?

Why? Based upon what logic and reasoning, after that which you stated?

Oh, I could not agree more, and most of them call themselves "Christian" these days.

    1. Scripture is God breathed (IITim 3:16)
    2. It is the Word of God to man (Jn. 10:35)
    3. it is infallible (Ps 19:5)
    4. It is without error (Pr 30:5,6)
    5. It is as it was originally given (II Pt 1:21)
    6. It is a divine inspiration and that divine inspiration is plenary (Rom 15:4)
    7. It is verbally inspired (Mat 4:4)
    8. It is confluent (II Sam 23:2)
    9. It is the very Word of God possessing all of His authority (Is 1:2)
    10. It is sufficient to save sinners (Tim 3:15)
    11. It has clarity for understanding (Ps 119:105)
    12. It has the efficacy of convicting sinners (Heb 4:12)
    13. The central purpose of the scripture is to confess and witness and confess to the Messiah (Luke 22:44)
THE BIBLE IS THE WORD OF GOD INSPIRED PLENARILY, VERBALLY, INFALLIBLY, AND IS WITHOUT ERROR. THE BIBLE IS AN ABSOLUTELY RELIABLE SOURCE FOR EXACTLY WHAT GOD WANTS MAN TO KNOW, WHAT GOD WANTS MAN TO BELIEVE, AND HOW GOD WANTS THE BELIEVER TO ACT IN THE SPIRITUAL LIFE.

A most difficult Bible question for a Muslim to answer:

Mat_22:42 "[Jesus] Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? ..."
They might reply with Mary's son, but the question is not being asked about the mother, but is being asked about the Father:

Mat_22:42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David.

Mat 22:43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,

Mat 22:44 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?

Mat 22:45 If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?
So, for any Muslims, Whose Son is Jesus?

Has nothing to do with satan acting on it. It has do with a testing, or proving, of those who have professed to be God's people. The events of the seven thunders took place between AD 1842-1844, when the first and second angels messages of Revelation 14:6-8 were transpiring for the first time. It is directly connected to the time period just before Revelation 10:6, and the end of the 2,300 days of Daniel 8:31-14,26; Revelation 9:13-15. It was when the "time", that is to say prophetic time, would no longer be a testing or proving of those professing to be God's people. We know this, as Revelation 10:11 is directly connected by its language to Revelation 14:6, while the phrase of the 'little book'; (that is to say a portion of time prophecy that was sealed in Daniel) refers to Daniel 8:26 and its portion that was "sealed up". The same personage ("certain saint", wonderful numberer) in Daniel 8-12, namely Jesus, is also described holding the book open in Revelation 10. Even the swearing in both Daniel 12 (connected to chapter 8-12) and the swearing in Revelation 10 are nearly identical.

    That there were giants there?
    Sure, why not?
David defeated a giant, hundreds of years later, why not believe giants were there then?
The point isn't whether there were Nephilim or not, the point is that Yahweh was going to fight their battles for them, giants or not.

The spies didn't have to by lying about there being Anakim there, they needed to have faith in God.

It's the faithlessness of the ten spies, not whether their observation of giants was true or not.
There's no way Israel had the military wherewithal to conquer any sizable military, storm the walls of Jericho or defeat any reasonably equipped enemy without the help of God.
The inhabitants were terrified of YHWH....as well they should be.
It was YWHW who took down the walls of Jericho, and YHWH who defeated the inhabitants of the land....not the Israelites.
That's like, the theme of the entire Pentateuch.

What time was Jesus arrested? What time did the trial take place? Was the money paid prior to the trial? Obviously yes. The trial happened at night. I don’t think you can choose to ignore the fact that Jewish law required the tossing of Judas’ body from the city wall.

By the mouth of two or three witnesses let everything be established - Caleb (1) and Joshua (2) said that they lied.

    Moses was no liar:

    Deu 2:10 The Emims dwelt therein in times past, a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims;
Deu 2:11 Which also were accounted giants, as the Anakims; but the Moabites call them Emims.

    Deu 2:20 (That also was accounted a land of giants: giants dwelt therein in old time; and the Ammonites call them Zamzummims;
Deu 2:21 A people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims; but the LORD destroyed them before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead:

    Two for a witness.

Two more for a further witness:

    Joshua:

Jos_13:12 All the kingdom of Og in Bashan, which reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, who remained of the remnant of the giants: for these did Moses smite, and cast them out.

    Caleb:

Jos 14:11 As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.
Jos 14:12 Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said.
Jos 14:13 And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance.
Jos 14:14 Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed the LORD God of Israel.
Jos 14:15 And the name of Hebron before was Kirjatharba; which Arba was a great man among the Anakims. And the land had rest from war.

Additionally, the 10 gave an 'evil report' (Numbers 13:32, 14:37), a 'slander' (Numbers 14:36) of the 'land' (Numbers 14:36-37):

Num 13:32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.

The "land" and the "people" of that "land" are two differing things. For at the first they had said:

Num 13:27 And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.

Then after announcing the large cities and giant people there, they changed from "surely it floweth with milk and honey", to "a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof". How could it be a "land" flowing with "milk and honey", having a large population, and of great healthy stature, if the "land" "eateth up the inhabitants thereof", and produce such large, giant and healthy fruit?

Num 13:23 And they came unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two upon a staff; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs.
You have erred. The "evil report" was about the "land", not that there were not actually giant and "tall" persons there, with abundance of population and large fruit and plenty.

That doesn't mean there weren't giants there.
There were giants later, and the text tells us there were.
Og, King of Bashan, was undoubtedly a giant.
I don't think EVERY word out of their mouth was false.
    Who cares anyway?
Simply put, it isn't a particularly problematic passage either way.

    Job 26:5 μὴ γίγαντες μαιωθήσονται ὑποκάτωθεν ὕδατος καὶ τῶν γειτόνων αὐτοῦ;

    Apocryphal:

Your errors are great, and I shall not let you run free by them. You ought be corrected by the word itself, but if not, I am free. Do not take it as an offense, but as love manifested, and the time taken to demonstrate to you in patience and meekness and fear.
