Calvinism is close to scripture in the 5 points of Dort. But you are not aware of the multitude of scriptures the first 3 points (which I agree with) rest on.

Yes, you smokescreed a lot, Van.
    Please answer the question.
Do humans play a part in the means by which they are saved? Or is the means by which humans are saved entirely by God alone?
Van, I believe the means of salvation is entirely by God alone. Do you agree?

It seems that an unwillingness to be honest is answered by the word, smokescreed. Such dishonesty is notable to any reader. The reader can decide.

More smokescreed, as no one was reconciled to God before Christ became the propitiation or means of salvation for the whole world.

Note folks, we are discussion the biblical view presented in the OP, but must waste time discussing misrepresentations from Calvinists.

Yet another claim that there are a "multitude of scriptures" which support Calvinism. LOL, there is not one that supports the TULI of Calvinism, certainly not Romans 8:9 or 1 Corinthians 2:14 or Romans 3:11.

Yet another post disparaging me and sidestepping (smokescreed) the topic.

    @Van,
You seem to have a habit of making this type of accusation when anyone disagrees with your understanding. The problem is not you pointing this out, but not specifying the specific truth being denied in each case.

    I did in the OP.

Calvinists use the ploy to extend the thread with smokescreed, such as claiming something was not clearly stated in the thread.

    Lets analyze one smokescreed post:

    1) Do humans play a part in the means by which they are saved?

From post #1, humans do not, repeat not, play a part in the means of salvation. Christ alone provides the propitiation or means of salvation.

    2) Or is the means by which humans are saved entirely by God alone?

From post #1, yes humans are saved entirely by God alone, it is God who puts us in Christ.

    3) Van, I believe the means of salvation is entirely by God alone. Do you agree?

From post #1, yes the means of salvation is provided by Christ alone.

Thus the questions by Calvinists are pure poppycock and nonsense, being just a disingenuous ploy to extend the thread.

Ok. I still think the point where a Calvinist is explicitly wrong should be explicitly pointed out when possible.

I do, over and over again. Take a gander at post #15 for example.
Now look at post #130, a denial of the obvious.

The idea the fault is with me, and not instead with the Calvinists is wrong.

I and other born-again believers have no problem discerning the same truth scripture. You might be born-again and falsely taught. But if you are you have all it takes to recognize the truth.

Non-stop smokescreed, disparaging the poster, but never providing any actual support for "particular reconciliation." And all the while sidestepping 1 John 2:2, 1 Peter 2:1 and 1 Timothy 2:6.

Yet another subject change as the Calvinists dodge and run from truth as found in specific scriptures.
And all the while sidestepping 1 John 2:2, 1 Peter 2:1 and 1 Timothy 2:6.

Jesus saved his elect in eternity before time began. He says those who believe have eternal life. No room here for the self-righteous.

It's there but you carefully side-step it to bolster your false teaching.

One false charge after another, one subject change after another, General Reconciliation has been shown to be the biblical doctrine by 1 John 2:2, 1 Peter 2:1 and 1 Timothy 2:6.

If you were a Jew, you would understand these verses. You try to read them like a cookbook and miss the entire point being made.
