It says that none seek after God
I experienced your version of the gospel for many years and it ministered bondage possibly at the same level as Jehovah's witnesses have. (Both are free-will-based). It also made me think of God as a bully and me saying "uncle" to save myself. The truth set me free from all of this and "Calvie" came the closest to nailing it. So I know them by their fruits. My view is biblical, your view is unbiblical.
Have you any training in ancient Greek? Do you think in that language? Or use a dictionary?it appears that you don't understand how Hebrew and Greek word meanings actually work.

We have about the same experience. Only I took a Moody Correspondence course. But I have a large Ancient Greek library of today's most respected works.for the past 35+ years.
what is your question for? I am not a Greek by birth, so no I do not "think" in that language. I have self taught over many years. If you have a problem with my knowledge and usage, then feel free to show. I use Greek New Testaments, grammars, lexicons, and other works.
And as you said, he can't accept without a change from the Holy Spirit. Welcome to the Reformed position.because no human being, however "good" or "godly" their lives might be before they are saved, can ever "seek after God" of themselves. It is not in the human DNA to do this, as sin prevents it. The Holy Spirit must first "convict" the sinner through the preaching of the Gospel, that brings faith, which can lead to salvation in Jesus. Salvation is the work of the Triune God, and not man, even though man might "accept" the Gospel, he can take zero "credit" for this salvation, as it is unmerited.
People dead in sin are not convicted, they like their sin, they want their sin. The Holy Spirit has to actively change someone in order for them to be convicted of their sin. Like I said, welcome to the Reformed position. Glad you finally see the truth.I said "conviction", and you quote me as "change"?![]()

Charles Taze Russell was self-taught in Greek. It does not guarantee correctly dividing the word of God.for the past 35+ years.

Thus, you don't believe what God declares in Ephesians 2:1-9.I don't believe that a sinner is first "enabled", or "made alive" by the Holy Spirit, and then calls on the Lord to be saved.
