Did Paul tell the Jailer to repent of all known sins? peter seemed in Acts to have them repent ONLY of how they viewed Jesus!

As I told Austin, SATAN believes in Jesus, but he doesn't repent nor call on Him for salvation, nor does he submit to Jesus. So there's more than just believing in Him.

I believed that jesus is real & that He's the Son of God since I was a child. But I wasn't SAVED by Him til I repented of my sin,, asked Him to save me, & submitted to Him. Only then did I feel the HOLY SPIRIT indwelt me & knew I was saved.

    Good post.
If people were saved to have faith what would be the purpose of the faith. This must be how they come to believe that faith is a work.

At that point, it's too late to do that. The blessed know that to be true and the damned are, well damned.

Yes but I'm talking about the Final Judgement.

Therefore, you don't believe in the Final judgement?

How do you interpret this passage of scripture:

[Mat 25:31-40 KJV] 31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth [his] sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed [thee]? or thirsty, and gave [thee] drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took [thee] in? or naked, and clothed [thee]? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done [it] unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done [it] unto me.

All of that which you did was the fruit and by product of the working of the Holy Spirit in your life then!

    Acts 9:1-6,13-15

But Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. Now as he went on his way, he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven shone around him. And falling to the ground he heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” And he said, “Who are you, Lord?” And he said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. But rise and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do.”

But Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to your saints at Jerusalem. And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on your name.” But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel.

    Galatians 1:13-17

For you have heard of my former life in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God violently and tried to destroy it. And I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people, so extremely zealous was I for the traditions of my fathers. But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and who called me by his grace, was pleased to reveal his Son to me, in order that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with anyone; nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.

No comment from me. Just read what the Word tells you.

And so we disagree. It is the only time to do that.

All the righteousness of God is revealed at the judgment for all to see. The judgement and punishment that has been delayed will be executed.

The saints will be separated from the rest and God’s mercy on them will likewise be revealed for all to see.

All the hosts of heaven will glorify God for seeing what they have longed to see; The completion of His plan to have a people that will worship Him in Spirit and truth.

    peace to you

Jesus will return to judge the earth. The saints will be brought into His Kingdom. The unredeemed will be cast immediately into hell. Earth will no longer suffer the curse of sin.

Jesus chooses. Humans do not choose.

'Ye did not choose out me, but I chose out you, and did appoint you, that ye might go away, and might bear fruit, and your fruit might remain, that whatever ye may ask of the Father in my name, He may give you. John 15:16

The very same with Paul. Paul did not choose Jesus,

Paul was going down the road, blind in unbelief when Jesus choose Paul, physically blinded him, Paul was praying for his sight and the Lord sent Ananias to heal his physical sight and translate him from unbelief unto belief by giving him the Spirit of Truth, for His own purpose.

Paul then preached Jesus as the Son of God.

Was Paul by himself on the road? How many were with him? As far as we know did Jesus offer anyone else that was with Paul in his unbelief salvation at the time he called Paul? - Why did God call Abraham? Was it foreordained before the foundation of the world, that the Word would be made flesh of the seed of some man for the purpose of pouring out the soul of the flesh which is in the blood ?

There is a lot of truth in post 69.
    A couple of questions also

Heb. 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Something I shoulda clarified-God has had certain chosen people from the gitgo, making them "offers they couldn't refuse". An early one was Moses. Others include David, Jeremiah, Ezra, & John the Baptist as well as the first 11 disciples, and Paul.

But they're the exceptions, not the rule. Most must make the decision to come to Jesus without any empirical evidence. And it IS a DECISION, not an automatic process.

Another foolish attempt to define biblical teaching and yet deny God's electing grace as a blessing to all Kingdom members. All sheep are elected by God's grace and mercy.

As I said elsewhere, I didn't clarify that God has had people He chose for special service to Him, such as Paul & 11 of the 12 disciples of Jesus. But most of us don't have empirical proof placed before us; we must come to Jesus by FAITH. But He's left plenty of evidence that it's not BLIND faith. The main one is EXISTENCE. Where did quarks come from. What fuels gravity? Why does a cluster of 6 protons always make an atom of carbon, despite any other conditions?

You & Austin must have the same guru. If one doesn't repent of sin, believe in Jesus, & call on Him by name for salvation, it doesn't happen.

We just derive teaching from the biblical texts, not references to The Godfather movie. The triune God has a love before time for His Covenant children. Why you resist that, is a mystery.
13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again
, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.

not just a handful of people you mentioned, but rather a great multitude

And all who want to belong to Jesus must COME to Jesus. He stands at the door and knocks. And WE must answer His knock at the door. That knock is the preaching or reading of His word.

You once again ignore the issue raised with Heb:2.
Then you piece together an out-of-context verse, a statement without biblical support, but you have made it up.
How can you discuss the Church the called-out assembly, and ignore that God calls them out?
You are bowing to the free will idol, and by passing biblical truth.
