Does the Bible teach Original Sin?

The Anabaptists, who were the forerunners of the Baptist movement, taught that we inherited the inclination toward sin from Adam, but not Adam's guilt:

While death and sin entered the world through Adam's sin, Adam was not created as naturally immortal. If Adam had never sinned, he would still have needed to continue eating from the tree of life to live forever.

Augustine's doctrine on original sin may have had more to do with his prior Manichaeism than with what scripture and the previous church fathers actually taught.

While we indeed need God's grace to avoid sin and receive the forgiveness of sin, that doesn't mean we inherited the guilt of Adam's sin.

It's kind of sad when people who claim to be Baptists are ignorant of their own history and have more in common with the persecutors and killers of the Anabaptists than with what the Anabaptists actually taught.

So are you denying that in Adam, all sin?

Rather than this line of questioning, perhaps it would help if you provided @Humble Disciple the verse stating that all sinned in Adam. That way he could address the actual text of Scripture rather than what would otherwise be opinion.

(Just a suggestion - but I've found dealing with the text of Scripture best when debating the Christian faith).

While it does not actually state all sinned in Adam, Romans 5:19 may be a good discussion as well.

So are you denying that in Adam, all sin?

It is no surprise that those who do not grasp the grace of God often have flawed and defective views of the fall into sin and death.
This is one of the most basic errors in theology, rivaled closely by a false view of scripture, or deity.
No surprise,drifting from Finney to gnostics, to open theists.
