The word sovereign is not in scripture. This is mans false claim
I realize what it means but if God is sovereign as claimed then there is huge wholes in His authority with all the sin in the world. With all this sin in the world means Satan is in power for the most part. The struggle between the powers of the World is the struggle that has always been with us. When the Lord does come He will take over and rule. If the Calvinist have it there way then they make claims God is responsible for there sin.

I'm really Glad you're wrong. There is no limited atonement in scripture. If there were you'd be saying see I told you so.

Ezekiel uses the Hebrew word translated as Sovereign quite often in his prophesy.

There are no holes in God's supremacy over all things, which is what Sovereignty is addressing.

Do you reject the notion that God is Supreme over all His creation?
(MB probably won't answer this as he likely has me on ignore, so I post it for others.)

They must be regenerated unto salvation , as are elected by the father, died for by the Son, and saved by working of the Holy Spirit towards them!

Depends on translation being used. The Jewish Publication Society changed the 1917 "the Lord GOD" to in 1985 "Sovereign the LORD." The Hebrew didn't change.

The word sovereign means absolute control. God does not have absolute control of the Earth. When Adam believed Satan satan got dominion. The Last war is about Good and evil fighting each other. Christ will win the war with a shout.

If Cornelius was “obviously saved” before he heard the gospel, then you are saying the gospel is not necessary for salvation. Is that what you are saying?

    peace to you

People believe in Jesus because they are His chosen elect, God Holy Spirit intervened in their lives, they respond with faith, are in-dwelt by Holy Spirit and are saved from God’s wrath. They are not saved until God brings them to salvation.

    Peace to you

Peter says of the born again throughout the world.

“Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:” Acts 10:34 (KJV 1900)

“But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.” Acts 10:35 (KJV 1900)

Only the born again do this.

Has there ever been anything to happen in history that God was either surprised by, unaware of, or could not if he so chose to, directly intervene in?

Don't you see my point about being a Sovereign ruler? I do not deny the whole universe belongs to God that included man.
If you read this verse you will see God gave dominion to Adam.
Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
The first meaning of the word dominion
    1. Sovereign or supreme authority; the power of governing and controlling.

God gave this to Adam. When Adam sinned he believe the devil and that eating the fruit would make him like God. In doing so he gave dominion to Satan.
