    How do you handle this in your churches?
    Enforce it? Ignore it? Try to explain it away using the cultural argument?

    I think this also applies to women "Sunday school" teachers.

    Think women permitted to teach as long as not in spiritual authority, such as being in areas of a Pastor or Elders!

    I agree. They are to teach only other women and kids.

    Why does the Baptist Church ignore this passage? It seems quite plain. Women are not to teach men, have authority over men, or even speak regarding teaching or administrative matters of the church.
    Why is it ignored?
    The best answer I have ever gotten was "Criswells wife taught a Sunday school class with men in it ". I guess Criswell is now our source for doctrine?

    They are not to be in spiritual authority positions in local church, but can still teach!

    Why do we baptists allow missionaries who are women to be able to teach and lead in the field though?

    So they can teach sunday schools, and other women, just not mixed couples, correct? For most churches, that would mean not getting to use the pulpit!

    I guess they could teach a Sunday school class of all women that met in the sanctuary. Definitely can't be pastor.
