yes, when saved need to have fruit and evidence of that new life in Christ, but extreme views that one does not even need to reflect any change to be really saved is wrong, but so is the view must show a life fully surrendered to lordship of Christ in order to be really saved!

Repent of self righteousness and trying to get saved by own effort and works!

29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

??? Not from Romans or Galatians and nothing about 'faith alone'.

If you're going to keep this moniker you should cancel Yeshua1. I'm pretty sure it's against Baptistboard rules to have more than one identity.

One definition of saving faith is that you renounce all self effort and self righteousness. But when you come to Christ, almost everyone knows specific sins that they want to get saved from. So yes they repent of those. Then you begin a life of growing in understanding and repenting of sins you didn't know were sins before you were saved. For example, a person gets save who used to spend half his paycheck at the bar before he gets home on Friday needs to repent of that. Years later, he may need to repent of failing to spend time in private prayer.

If you are willing to agree that faith is belief then notice that it is the only thing mentioned in that verse. In other words, it is "alone". All the verses that talk about belief in reference to salvation and don't add anything else are talking about "faith alone". In Ephesians 2:8-9 faith is actually pulled out and set out so you can tell that "faith alone" is meant.

The ONLY "work" from us God the father "requires" is to trust in the Lord Jesus to save, period!

Reformed/Calvinistic Soteriology is very much UNBIBLICAL, and based on the teachings of Augustine, who taught the Ransom Theory of the Atonement, which is Heretical!

that is your PERIOD. However, Jesus Christ, the HIGHEST AUTHORITY disagrees, as He says, REPENT and BELIEVE, as in Mark 1:15, which also the older Reformed theologians taught, which has been corrupted by the Moderns!

Those passages are talking about faith, not faith alone. THIS passage is talking about 'faith alone':

24 Ye see that by works a man is justified, and not only by faith. Ja 2

Really, then WHY does Paul say, "The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked. But now he commands that all people everywhere should repent" (Acts 17:30), which looks clear to me, that the sinner is here commanded to repent!

And yet that theology produced the Reformation, and had some of the greatest missionary outreaches spawned also!
