No one has absolute free will, but that is not what is being spoken of here is it. Can I save myself, no. Can I freely choose to trust in Christ Jesus for my salvation, yes.

Reformed when you and other calvinists make these type of dumb free will comments it just makes your argument look really really silly. How do expect anyone to take you serious when you respond this way?

Reformed you have added to the ignorant comments on here. If you wanted a serious discussion then you should have stayed with that type of comment. You know what EG was saying about free will and yet as per normal, the calvinist response has been ridicule.

Joh 6:40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day."

Joh 6:44 No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.

Joh 6:45 It is written in the prophets, 'AND THEY SHALL ALL BE TAUGHT BY GOD.' Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.

In Joh 6:45 we find, “everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me” Thus when Jesus says that the Father will “give” people to the Son, this refers to those who were willing to “hear” and “learn” from the Father—not those who were unconditionally elected before the foundation of the world.

Only in your dreams. Man has the God given ability to trust in or reject Christ Jesus. You just do not want to admit that fact.

I have given you the scriptures to support that fact but still you deny it. Blinded by your desire to follow a man instead of the bible.

There is more to the scriptures than Jn 6:44 and Eph 1:4.

It would help you if you would read it. Helping is why I am here.

I don't follow Calvin, but it was Christ that said that, not Calvin.

Except there is not a shred of evidence of that in Scripture without taking things out of context or ignoring large portions of other passages.

Here we see the claim that God doesn't direct all things, meaning there are rogue molecules of which God is unaware.
Perhaps, Silverhair, like the prophets of Baal, which Elijah challenged, your god is asleep and doesn't realize what is going on.
Perhaps others decree what happens and your god is helpless to do anything since he didn't decree it and was taken by surprise.
Silverhair, your god is not supreme and is weak. Tell me where you found your god in the Bible.

"Silverhair,
.

Hello SH, there is no contradiction whatsoever if you understand what is being said. Many do not work through the scriptures for the biblical solution.

God is in total control of every particle.every atom in the universe, Nothing escapes Him.
Do you think anything is outside of God? How can that be?
How can God cause sin?God uses sin and calamity for His purpose.

God uses sin and calamity for His purpose.
It came to pass at the cross by Gods determinate counsel .
I agree God is not the author of sin because He does not decree all things that come to pass.
So you are suggesting something can come to pass without God?

I drive a commercial vehicle. It bounces quite a bit. When I reach for my phone sometimes the bouncing makes random letters.
If I had seen them I would have deleted them
