Fine. Call me what you want, my Pelagian friend. It has no effect on my relationship with God in Christ.

Did I say man is sovereign? You have got to learn how to read. You are answering questions that were not asked and not dealing with what was posted. You keep avoiding the truth of scripture.

As per normal you run from anything that you can not deal with. Your Calvinism is your blind spot and that is why you can not or should I say will not see the truths in scripture.

I will ask you plainly - do you believe that God is totally absolutely 100% sovereign over His creation? A plain "yes" or "no" will suffice.

God is sovereign, I have said that many times. Is your "absolutely totally sovereign" somehow better than sovereign, just wondering as you seem to think it is.

You continue to take verses out of context and throw them around as if that somehow makes your comments better. Well as I have heard and you posts tend to prove, context and Calvinism never go together.

Somehow I really do not think you consider me as a friend, but I am quite sure you do consider the rest of what you said is true.;)

Well as I have said a number of times God is sovereign. Why you think you need to add "totally absolutely 100%" I am not sure. Do you think adding those words makes Him more sovereign?

You, it would seem actually do not think God is "totally absolutely 100%" sovereign as you keep denying that He can do what He wants with His creation.

Lots of folks "say" that God is sovereign but their theology belies what they "say".

Yes I agree, the theology that you hold to calls His sovereignty into question. But I still hold out hope that you will see the error of your way and just trust the bible.

Ken I have a question for you?

What is it that keeps a person from seeing and savoring the Christ of all saving grace?

If you're a consistent Calvinist it's God. God is keeping one from seeing God and yet their held responsible for not seeing God.

Remember your version of God is "totally absolutely 100% sovereign" so anything that happens or does not happen, He determines. So how or why is the man that rejects God held responsible for doing so as he is actually doing exactly what God has determined for him to do.

Just curious, have ever heard of infralapsarianism vs. supralapsarianism concerning the decrees of God? If not, you might want to google it just to see what it is about.

I have already given a reference for a nice explanation concerning your inquiry - from the top of page 92 through the first paragraph of page 94 at Systematic Theology (vincentcheung.com)

Whether you agree with the explanation or not, it is what I believe.

You really don't grasp Calvinism at all.
    Here's what God says:

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.
For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.
Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

Well since neither of those terms is in the bible it really does not matter if you think one way or the other regarding the fall. What I have read of them is something that a Calvinist might be interested in but I did not see any real need to dive into it.

Have you nothing to say regarding my post # 131.

What have I not grasped about Calvinism? Your theology is a philosophy. You deny scripture in favour of your man-made teaching. That seems to be what you have been determined to believe.

What is your response to my post # 131?

You falsely claim that Calvinists teach that God keeps a person from seeing and savoring Jesus.
    You wrote:

    If you're a consistent Calvinist it's God."

You have no clue. I shared the passage in Romans 1 and you still respond with cluelessness.

I shared Romans 1 to you as the answer to your false claim and now you call it philosophy. You are falsely speaking.

Wrong again. You demand an interpretation from a sentence with no concern for the context around the sentence. When I interpret from the whole of God's Word, you call it philosophy. Meanwhile, you interpret like a Muslim interprets the Bible...ignoring context. I do not interpret that way and I do not apologize for not using your poor hermeneutics.

God has caused me to believe His entire word and to believe that He is Supreme over all things. Silverhair, it is what the Bible teaches, even though you hate this truth.

I already answered it in post 133.

Amen.
