I agree.
The problem is not their position but what they were willing to sacrifice for their positions.
I am getting tired of politicians using American citizens as pawns.
I had hoped that those 8 RINOs (well, a few of them) would change the GOP - not side with the Democrats to void the Republican majority.
Now the very little that had been accomplished has been undine, and we will end up worse than where we began.
So yes, I agree that they are the most conservative and I like their views. But I still believe those RINOs were grandstanding, trying to make a reputation for themselves - given the timing. It backfired (I don't think they thought it'd be political suicide).
But mostly, whether right or wrong principles, I abhor any politician using citizens as pawns.
That said, I also realize many of those unaffected do not care. It doesn't affect me, but I can't stand the principle.
But ...that's politics.
