There are absolute no verses or passages that say or suggest unconditional election of individuals.

Yes, it is an assertion that changes the subject of this thread. Acts of the Apostles 13:48 indicates as many as were appointed by mutual agreement with Paul's direction to eternal life believed.I suppose that is a discussion to be had on another thread.
Rye said:I’m not sure how the accusation that we are changing “tetagmenoi/tasso” to “tithemi” helps your case.
Tithemi means to put in place and has been translated as “appointed” at least six times in the NT.
So you dont believe the TruthI believe the truth, that is why I do not believe what you are posting.
Already answered that. Your calvinism is not the truth so why would I believe it?So you dont believe the Truth
Because TULP Truths are part of the Gospel !Already answered that. Your calvinism is not the truth so why would I believe it?
BF you have just proven that you have fallen down the rabbit hole. Your claim that TULIP is part of the gospel shows just how far off reality your views are.Because TULP Truths are part of the Gospel !
Truth will not be proven to you until God opens your eyes of understanding.BF you have just proven that you have fallen down the rabbit hole. Your claim that TULIP is part of the gospel shows just how far off reality your views are.
Thankfully most calvinists are not as radical as you.
Truth will not be proven to you until God opens your eyes of understanding.
You have been rejecting truth, you know its not Gods will for everyone to believe the truth, for He sends some men a strong delusion to believe a lie 2 Thess 2:12He already has and that is why I do not hold to your philosophical view.
Now this is a fact that you will not accept, although it is biblical, as it does not fit your theological view.
The simple reality is that everyone is 100% responsible for their own choices.
God is 100% responsible for providing salvation and man is 100% accountable for whether or not they receive it.
Calvary was not owed to anyone but was 100% God’s choice to provide forgiveness, simply out of the graciousness of His heart, and He regularly raises up servants to spread His message of reconciliation. Man’s choice to either receive or reject God’s gracious gift is also 100% their own choice, with the result being that man becomes 100% accountable for his own choice.
No matter how many people may help you to receive Christ, either by witnessing to you, or praying for you, or living a godly example to encourage you, ultimately you still have to make your own choice, and your choice remains 100% your choice.
The fact that you continue to ignore context is what leads you to your errant views. You have been rejecting truth, you know its not Gods will for everyone to believe the truth, for He sends some men a strong delusion to believe a lie 2 Thess 2:12
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
So how can such a one believe the truth ?
The fact that you continue to ignore context is what leads you to your errant views.
@Silverhair
I have not ignored anything, the truth is in the context, you just reject the truth. Thats what people do when God has not shown them truth.
I have not ignored anything, the truth is in the context, you just reject the truth. Thats what people do when God has not shown them truth. How can you say you have not ignored the context? The context does not support your view but you still cling to it.
You said in post 231 "you know its not Gods will for everyone to believe the truth". So I take it that you disagree with what He said here. 1Ti 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. KJV
We see this again when you posted {#232} Act 13:48 and ignored the context. BF you continue to post out of context verses and draw errant views because of that.
Your failure to consider the context and further to think through where your view leads shows the error of your view.
As many as were appointed to eternal life believed, they had been appointed first to eternal life, which is why they believed as the fruit of the appointment.
Acts 13:48
48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
Blueletter bible says of ordained for this verse:
ὅσοι ἦσαν τεταγμένοι εἰς ζωήν αἰώνιον, as many as were appointed (A. V. ordained) (by God) to obtain eternal life, or to whom God had decreed eternal life, Acts 13:48 G5021 - tassō - Strong's Greek Lexicon (kjv)
I have not ignored anything, the truth is in the context, you just reject the truth. Thats what people do when God has not shown them truth.
You continue to ignore context BF.
I have not ignored anything, the truth is in the context, you just reject the truth. Thats what people do when God has not shown them truth.BF you keep saying that but you do not provide any substantive response to support your position.
So it seems that the one ignoring the truth is you.
Context continues to show that your view is wrong.
