Jon my conclusions re Trump were not based on just that post but on the many posts he has made.@Silverhair
Our disagreement reminds me of the Mike Jenkings incident in Ohio.
Michelle Bishop was jogging with her two children when she noticed a car following her. The car was driving very slowly as she ran. She panicked and ran to a home, banging on the door for help. The car followed her to the home and pulled into the driveway. The man said "I live here", to which she - knowing he had been following her - replied "no you don't".
Mike Jenkings was driving home. He was driving slowly looking at the Christmas lights in his neighborhood. He pulled into his home and there was a woman at the door. He said "I live her" to which she replied "no you don't".
Obviously the woman did not believe that Mike Jenkings lived there because Mr. Jenkings is a black man. This is a blatant example of racism (that was Mikes' conclusion, the conclusion of his family, and the most vocal conclusion of our society).
At first the woman tried to explain her thoughts. She did not care about skin color. She thought somebody was stalking her (abd her two children) as they were jogging. She thought the driver pulled in that driveway for nefarious purposes.
But that ultimately did not matter. She was a racist who could not believe a black man lived in a gated neighborhood.
It is better (IMHO) to discuss facts rather than trying to determine what was going through the mind of another person. This, I believe, can lead to a better understanding of how things are perceived while not diminishing the facts of a situation.
What I was pointing out to you was that you seemed to be missing much of what was in the picture, which you latter did say was true.
The posts he has made since then do not help his case.
From where I sit I see a man that has serious problems but that is something that those in the US will have to deal with.
We have enough problems of our own here in Canada.
