Our disagreement reminds me of the Mike Jenkings incident in Ohio.

Michelle Bishop was jogging with her two children when she noticed a car following her. The car was driving very slowly as she ran. She panicked and ran to a home, banging on the door for help. The car followed her to the home and pulled into the driveway. The man said "I live here", to which she - knowing he had been following her - replied "no you don't".

Mike Jenkings was driving home. He was driving slowly looking at the Christmas lights in his neighborhood. He pulled into his home and there was a woman at the door. He said "I live her" to which she replied "no you don't".

Obviously the woman did not believe that Mike Jenkings lived there because Mr. Jenkings is a black man. This is a blatant example of racism (that was Mikes' conclusion, the conclusion of his family, and the most vocal conclusion of our society).

At first the woman tried to explain her thoughts. She did not care about skin color. She thought somebody was stalking her (abd her two children) as they were jogging. She thought the driver pulled in that driveway for nefarious purposes.

But that ultimately did not matter. She was a racist who could not believe a black man lived in a gated neighborhood.

It is better (IMHO) to discuss facts rather than trying to determine what was going through the mind of another person. This, I believe, can lead to a better understanding of how things are perceived while not diminishing the facts of a situation.
Jon my conclusions re Trump were not based on just that post but on the many posts he has made.

What I was pointing out to you was that you seemed to be missing much of what was in the picture, which you latter did say was true.

The posts he has made since then do not help his case.

From where I sit I see a man that has serious problems but that is something that those in the US will have to deal with.

We have enough problems of our own here in Canada.

I do not know that is entirely accurate.

I did miss some things in the picture. But I also did not come to the same conclusions as you (I do not see a woman praying to Trump as you observed, but I did see a woman praying on my second look).

Knowing that the image shows more upon examination and that, while I do not make the same assumptions as you make, the image contains more than observed at first glance, what you are asking me to believe is tgat Trump carefully examined the image, came to the same conclusions as you, and posted it.

Based on history I do not believe Trump realized what he posted. Unlike you, I belueve Trump is a narcissistic man who posts things and says things without much thought.

My point, however, is that we do not know what he thought.

I agree that trump is a self absorbed narcissistic man who posts things and says things without much thought to the consequences of what he posts. But unlike you I do see a pattern in what he does. It is all about making him to be bigger than life. The savior of the world.

He stopped 7 or was it 8 wars. He deserved the peace prize. He is super trum*.

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck you can be quite sure it is a duck.

With what we have seen from him and biden I would think your congress and senate would be looking at age limits for your leaders.

Trump, just glancing at that image, should have decided that he did not want to be portrayed as a healing Jesus figure. It does not require deep analysis or heavy theology. But it must have appealed to Trump’s bloated sense of self, so he posted it. He might have thought the image would annoy the Pope. This is childish.

For Trump to not realize what he is posting indicates a real problem. Pray that Trump be more careful. What are his advisors doing? Does he disregard them?

Paula White and his other dubious spiritual advisors are not encouraging Trump to be humble or modest. Thundering around about how great he is is not going to go well, for “pride goeth before a fall.”

I pray for Trump, for God allowed him to become president. I pray that Trump and all government officials will make only righteous decisions. With all Trump’s bizarre vanity and arrogance, he is way better than Biden or Kamala. But character flaws enable the opposing party to make great gains in popularity, even when based on lies.

We must not ignore blasphemy or sacreligious acts, no matter who is doing it. Pray that God will forgive and transform Trump. Power, fame, and wealth can corrupt anyone.

I don't thing age has anything to do with Trump. He is actually robust and sharp for his age (which surprised me).

The pattern I see is narcissism. This seems to have served him well in the business world. Time does not seem to have changed that.

But you prove my point - this post is merely one more in a long line of inappropriate posts.

Many who support Trump do in spite of this character flaw. Others simply pretend it does not exist.

I am not a Trump supporter (other than general support and prayers for whoever is POTUS, as I am Christian).

That said, there is very little in terms of policy that I find objectionable. And policy should be the criteria for a secular leader.

Looking at the world leaders today, I cannot think of one that stands out as a quality leader. While I may not like Trump for his personality and social media posts, he is a better leader than Carn** or Trudeal**.

There are things I appreciate about his policy. But he is often very childish in on social media and his responses. He turns every conversation to himself and his accomplishments.

What has been inappropriate about my posts Jon?

Have I said anything about trum* that we have not seen in his posts or heard from him?

I am not a fan of Trudea* or Carne* they both are way to woke for me and way to self serving.

If Canre* continues to respond to the west in the way he has so far I think that he will cause the breakup of Canada as he is so green in his views. He hates oil and gas but loves the money it brings in so not sure how this will all play out.

Not your posts.

I was saying that President Trump has a long history of inappropriate posts and replies. He does not appear to think much about what he posts or says.

One can tell he is a WWE fan.

Thanks for the clarification Jon.

Never have understood why people go to those WWE events.
