Did Jesus suffer God's wrath instead of us?

NO, you misunderstood, I guess I could have explained it better. Not God pleading with Calvinists, I'm speaking of God pleading with Israel throughout the Scripture to turn from their wickedness, but most did not. God know they were Hell bound, but yet He pleaded with them.

Did Jesus suffer God's wrath instead of us?

All can't mean all to a Calvinist! It has to be altered, changed to fit the theory.

Did Jesus suffer God's wrath instead of us?

There's no arguing with a Calvinist, you can't show them it goes against the grain of Scripture. They totally ignore God's pleadings in Scripture to turn from their wickedness but they don't.

I believe ALL who ever existed will be in God's Kingdom.

I've never doubted that about you, mate!

Did Jesus suffer God's wrath instead of us?

No, Z, that is the indoctrination working. "but is longsuffering to us-ward" is God bearing long with us attempting to bring us to repentance, even though He knows most will not. Plainly He is not willing for any to perish, "but that all should come to repentance." The "all" is all of...

Did Jesus suffer God's wrath instead of us?

It's just sad, Z, that Peter said God is not willing that any should perish, but you insist He is willing. Just a total misunderstanding of God's sovereignty. I'm praying for you, Brother!

    Two Questions

If you consider that Christ was virgin born conceived of the Spirit, He had no sin nature. The Law of God, "sin brings forth death" did not apply to Him. Christ could not die unless He willed His death, and that's what He did. God created man to live forever in the flesh, death came into...

    Unworthy

You're not the only one that feels that way, Brother!

Did Jesus suffer God's wrath instead of us?

The Calvinists have been blinded through indoctrination. They have their own private definitions for words such as, all, world, whosoever. Only the Calvinists see these words to mean what they claim. They have no choice but to change the definitions of these words, their doctrine will not...

Did Jesus suffer God's wrath instead of us?

If it was it would read as the rewording I presented. But it doesn't say what you claim. Everyone can see that but the Calvinist.

Did Jesus suffer God's wrath instead of us?

If your interpretation of that is correct, then 2 Peter 3:9 has to be reworded to say this. "God wills that many should perish, and that only a few pre-selected ones will come to repentance."

I believe ALL who ever existed will be in God's Kingdom.

I'm always ready, I just need to understand what I'm ready for. 1 Peter 3:15 "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:"

    Question for Baptists

Don't blow a gasket, Cathode! This video explains it better than I can, although I can add to it. It's only 1:53...

It's Tough Being a IFB Believer

Have you ever met another believer while out and about, and they ask what denomination you claim? It's tough being a IFB believer. I tell them I'm a Baptist. They ask, what type of Baptist? I say, I'm a independent fundamental Baptist. They ask, are you a Calvinist? By the time I explain why...

    Question for Baptists

I certainly can't fault you there! A denomination in the way I see it, just represents what you believe. We are all, or should be followers of Christ. But I can understand your separation from this maze.

    Question for Baptists

We agree, and most here have no problem understanding this. These things that concern our salvation should be the topics of our discussion. That is the #1 thing I'm interested in, but we all get carried away with the things that don't even concern our salvation, while some are not leaving this...

    Question for Baptists

Yes, I believe many Catholics are saved, but they are the ones who recognize that faith alone in the finished work of Christ is the only means of salvation. Even the commandment of water baptism, when made a requirement for salvation can be turned into a work and cancel out the Grace that...

    Question for Baptists

No, it's basically a correction of Covenant Theology, and it didn't begin with Darby as many suppose. It was evident in the Church fathers from as far back as the 2nd century.

    Question for Baptists

Thank God for Martin Luther, John Calvin, Huldrych Zwingli, and several others. No, they were not right about everything as we are not, they even disliked one another in some cases, but they did what God gave them to do, they pointed us back to Christ by seeing the many faults in the Church...
