    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

Yea, we agree on several things, BF, it's a shame that this predestination thing is taking the spot light from the things we have in common.

    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

What does it mean "Elect ACCORDING to the foreknowledge of God the Father?" Reformed Theology believes in an unconditional election. The election cannot be ACCORDING to His foreknowledge, that would be a conditional election. Reformed Theology is an election according to His Sovereignty.

The Words 'sin nature' in Scripture

It's in Rom. 5:21 that the "sin nature" comes into focus with Paul. "That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord." Paul uses the definite article before the word "sin" that makes it a noun. It reads "the sin"...

    Flaws of Calvinism

Unfortunately, I fail quite often in practicing what I preach. I'm not a rock as was Paul and Peter, etc. I'm a continuous work in progress, most of the time one step forward and 2 back. But He hasn't given up on me, He will take us to the finish line by our faith in Him.

    Flaws of Calvinism

There comes a point where the calling out of false doctrine on someone as determined as BF, and for years, has to be seen in a different light. Paul called out false doctrine all through his letters to the Churches, then he would speak of the positive they had and achieved and the confidence...

    Flaws of Calvinism

Everyone has a positive trait no matter how deceived they may be. Nothing wrong with pointing out the positive in a person. Imagine BF with his guns loaded with live ammo with the Holy Spirit as his side. That would be a sight to behold, and what that determination could accomplish is...

    Flaws of Calvinism

I give BF the credit for sticking to his guns, that is an admirable trait. But his guns have been loaded with blanks and will not accomplish that he seeks. It's sad, and at the same time there is no excuse that God will accept.

    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

This reminds me of Part 3 in Dispensationalism that I'm yet to prepare. I'm going to integrate the above post into Part 3. But please understand that I naturally put this out of my mind, it requires deep thought and preparation of recalling Scripture for my points. I've mentioned that I have...

    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

If we look outside of the verses of Scripture where Paul teaches the doctrine of predestination, I call them the sign posts that carry the regulations of the Word of God. If we acknowledge these sign posts we can clearly see that the theory of TULIP is contrary to the theme of the sign posts...

    Where does God's Wrath Go?

Oh I totally agree! I enjoy discussing doctrine and learning from others their aspect that I haven't considered, it's educational. My point is though we disagree in doctrine, it does not effect our salvation, as that comes by repentance and faith in Christ.

    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

    Excellent point, cjab.

    Where does God's Wrath Go?

Yes, we disagree but that's ok. God doesn't demand correct doctrine, He demands repentance.

    Where does God's Wrath Go?

JonC, man is spiritually dead because the Law has condemned him to spiritual death. Paul said that sin in not imputed where there is no Law, but the sin of Adam and Eve were under the Law of God, not the Law of Moses that was yet to come, but under the direct Law of God to Adam and Eve when He...

    Where does God's Wrath Go?

Ok, let me explain my view of the Law according to Scripture. When I use the word Law I'm referring to the 10 Commandments, which are God's standard of righteousness, the moral Law. But the word "Law" can expand to the judicial and and ceremonial Law. All of which is the Law of Moses given to...

    Where does God's Wrath Go?

We see the Law differently, the Law condemned man to death, spiritual death, that is the curse that Christ became. Christ could not spiritually die because He never sinned, but He certainly took our place suffering the wrath of God that we deserved. We simply disagree.

    Where does God's Wrath Go?

LOL, I'm not going to argue, JonC, I can only see you reasoning your way out of 1+1=2. Doctrine is determined by Scripture explaining Scripture, and I see a clear explanation on this.

    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

It should be obvious, BF, why do you even question it. God is speaking of the righteousness needed to enter into His Kingdom. It's a spiritual death, why, why do you carry on this way?
  18. C

    Where does God's Wrath Go?

I can see that the curse of the Law carried God's wrath, and Christ was made that curse. That's all I need to know.

    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

BF, God bless your soul, you're almost as stubborn as me, but not quite. Let's read that Scripture and you tell me if the word "die" is physical or spiritual. Ezekiel 33:11-13 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked...
