    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

Do the research BF. Your continued denial of historical fact just makes you look foolish.

    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

Of course I would scorn a false philosophy trying to masquerade as biblical truth.

    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

It is unfortunate that most calvinists have a closed mind when it comes to looking at what the bible actually says.

    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

@Zaatar71 if you actually followed the word of God then we would not be in disagreement. You have chosen to follow a man-made philosophy rather than the word of God. Save yourself the continued embarrassment of making silly comments. Check out the basis of your philosophy. It is not hard to do...

    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

They you go BF trying to deflect from the truth. The gospel is from the 1st century as you should know but it is your false philosophy that comes from the forth century. If you would actually do some research on the subject, which I am sure you will not do, then you would know that your...

    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

To bad you call a false philosophy from the 4 century the truth.
  7. Silverhair

    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

The substance is the word of God not what some man thinks a philosophy from the forth century says. I would lay odds that you have yet to do any research into the foundations of your religion. And you cannot say it is the bible as your philosophical view is in disagreement with the word of God.

    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

There you go teaching that false human philosophy again BF. Why is it that you do not trust the word of God? Heb 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Heb 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must...

    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

You respond with calvinist teachers that are looking through the same lens you are. What they say is their opinion but that does not make it right when held to the truth of scripture. Fro a slanted view which has it's base in pagan philosophy. When he uses calvinism as the basis of his view...

    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

So you respond with what you trust which is man rather than God. It is a sad commentary that so many calvinists will run to man for support and ignore the word of God. Pink was wrong just as you are wrong to trust in him.

    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

Did you not comprehend what I wrote? The bible is clear enough that even you should be able to understand it if you would take of those calvinist glasses. You must have missed his part of my post or more likely ignored it Verb proginosko (G4267), "to know before" (pro, "before," ginosko, "to...

    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

Odd that you would like my post as it shows the error of what you had posted when you quoted A W Pink here: "What is meant by ‘foreknowledge’? ‘To know beforehand,’ is the ready reply of many. But we must not jump to conclusions, nor must we turn to Webster’s dictionary as the final court of...

    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

When? Quote what I said and where I said it @Zaatar71. If you actually believed what is revealed in scripture then we would not be having a disagreement but since you hold to the 4th century philosophy we do disagree.

    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

Foreknow, Foreknowledge A. Verb. proginosko (G4267), "to know before" (pro, "before," ginosko, "to know"), is used (a) of divine knowledge, concerning (1) Christ, 1Pe_1:20, RV, "foreknown" (KJV, "foreordained"); (2) Israel as God's earthly people, Rom_11:2; (3) believers, Rom_8:29; "the...

    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

Who have you seen on here that has denied the sovereignty of God? Where the calvinist errors is that they misuse scripture by twisting it and change meaning of words to fit their philosophy. Yes God is sovereign so the question for the calvinist is why do you not let Him be sovereign?
  16. Silverhair

    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

@Charlie24 you have to remember they are using a different dictionary, a special calvinist one that has special definitions that fit they special understanding of the word of God.
  17. Silverhair

    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

I do not agree with your view that following pagan philosophy rather than the word of God would be of benefit to me.
  18. Silverhair

    Predestination is a Beautiful Doctrine.

Many find a number of teachings in scripture that are not there @Zaatar71. You should keep looking till you find the truth. Calvinism's DoG/TULIP is not scriptural but rather is based on false teachings from 4th century.

    Flaws of Calvinism

But we are not talking of technical salvation here BF. According to the calvinist view they were saved before creation. If they were chosen before creation then they could not be lost So whether they believed or not has no bearing on their salvation but since the bible clearly disagrees with...

    Flaws of Calvinism

Still an illogical view considering the calvinist philosophy that you seem to hold. God knowing who will freely trust in Him is not your God choosing who will trust in Him. Biblically no one is saved until they have trusted in Christ Jesus. Thus all could have been lost if no one had trusted...
