    Imputed Righteousness

I don't see where we disagree! I agree with everything you've said here.

    Imputed Righteousness

As with Abraham our faith is counted to us for righteousness. It takes place immediately. In vs. 24 the righteousness is clearly imputed to the person, IF we believe...

    Imputed Righteousness

I suppose you will make the same twist of Heb. 3:14, "For we are made partakers of Christ, IF we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;"

    Imputed Righteousness

I don't know what happened to you, cant' say, but I know what happened to me. I heard the Gospel at a time chosen by God, I believed that Gospel and accepted Him as my Savior. The Holy Spirit is ever conforming me into the image of Christ, if I let Him. I admit I'm not perfect and I fail...

    Faith # 4

Faith comes from the hearing of the Gospel/the Word of God. Man will accept or reject that Gospel when they hear it.

    The Number Of God’s Elect

It's easy to tell when someone is effectively driving the hammer home, K gets involved.

    Imputed Righteousness

It all goes back to God-given free will. God knew Adam would fall before the foundation of the world. So He devised a plan so that when Adam fell with his free will, He would provide a Redeemer to save man that would believe and love Him. The alternative to the Calvinist robots!

    Imputed Righteousness

There's something sick about that, seriously! Christ is the Second Adam, Christ must die BECAUSE Adam fell. Christ came to undo what Adam did to mankind. If not, all of humanity would have no hope.

    Thou understandeth not thou Scripture.

    Imputed Righteousness

According to your theory God is the cause of Adam falling into sin and thereby causing the whole world to fall in sin. He could have chosen to elect (so you say) Adam to salvation, but He chose to pass him by and left all of us in a world of sin.

    Imputed Righteousness

How does that work? Does God make them a cheerful receiver of Christ whether they want to or not?

    Imputed Righteousness

That's a prime example of the Calvinist Dictionary at work! It can't be what it says, it's got to be what those dead men say.

    Faith # 4

Hello BF, haven't seen you around lately. The Scripture says the truth will set you free, and I say, only those who desire the truth will be able to hear His voice and be set free.

    Imputed Righteousness

The word "IF" in vs 24 makes it a condition.

    Imputed Righteousness

Yes, Paul repeats imputing righteousness in Rom. 4:22. But there is a condition for imputing righteousness that Paul points out. Rom. 4:23-24 "Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that...

    Questions About Predestination

That's a good idea, and I'll join you on "I am done."

    Questions About Predestination

God's plan of redemption doesn't end with justification/election, it carries on into sanctification throughout our whole lives "conforming us into the image of Christ." The Holy Spirit is continuously trying to bring our standing up to the level of our position in Christ.

    Questions About Predestination

Paul was speaking to the born-again Church when he said that. They were predestined to what? Was it a plan that all of them were adopted by Jesus Christ according to the good pleasure of His will or was it a salvation according to God's election of the individual?
