What are your views on various doctrines?

If Jeremiah is saying that all dream interpretation is false, why does Matthew record Joseph's dream? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Who Gave the Right to Interpret "Spiritually"?

Even opponents of premillennialism have taught that the Messianic, Davidic Kingdom is to be distinguished from the general and universal Sovereignty of God. And we have an "abundant array of proof" of this: "It is but justice to say that many of our opponents (as e.g. Thompson, etc.) and others...

Who Gave the Right to Interpret "Spiritually"?

There you go. I also might let you know that I know of zero dispensational authors who claim that the Bible must be interpretted "literally" 100% of the time. That's not what the OP is about either.

All Israel Will be Saved. Romans 11:26

...So Matthew 5:5 tells us that Abraham is right now enjoying his land promises, and is walking around on planet earth. And I also might add that flying kangaroos eat tortilla chips with hot spicy salsa.

All Israel Will be Saved. Romans 11:26

So, your opinion that heaven is better than earth negates God's land promises to Abraham. That doesn't answer my question to Ian though.

Who Gave the Right to Interpret "Spiritually"?

Read Daniel chapter 7 and you will have your answer. Specifically verse 23.

Who Gave the Right to Interpret "Spiritually"?

It's very peculiar that the prophecies of the tribulation for the Israelites in Egypt in Moses' time were all fulfilled literally, even the ones that sounded strange (light being taken away for the whole nation, but remaining on only the Israelites, for example). And hey, there's always the fact...

    The ECF were Pretribulational

So the apostles were wrong to look for the fulfillment of the Abrahamic, Sinaitic and Davidic covenants contained in the Messianic Kingdom? Peter's quote of Joel in Acts 2, the quotation of Amos 9:11 later in Acts and the quotation of the new covenant in Hebrews 8 & 10 never explicitly state...

    The ECF were Pretribulational

When did his second advent occur? How come no historian records this? "all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man arriving on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory" (Matthew 24:30, NET). I know you're partial preterist, but I think that that view runs into...

All Israel Will be Saved. Romans 11:26

...How is Abraham right now enjoying God's promise of land, made to him personally (Gen. 17:8)?

We are currently in the tribulation and Trump is the beast?

Historicists hold to this view. One can be historic and premillennial, as Cotton Mather was, or historic and amillennial, as Martin Luther was. Jonathan Edwards was a historic postmillennialist too.

    The ECF were Pretribulational

Did you know that Jeremiah 31:15 was fulfilled in the exile? How come Matthew (2:17-8) tells us it was also fulfilled in his day? Even (postmillennial) Strong tells us, "Certain prophecies apparently contain a fulness of meaning which is not exhausted by the event to which they most obviously...

    The ECF were Pretribulational

Hold up. Are you really saying that no prophecy was ever fulfilled before Christ?

All Israel Will be Saved. Romans 11:26

I don't think Paul was talking about interpreting the Abrahamic covenant, containing the land promises to the Jews, "spritually", though. That makes the covenant nothing. Will God make our covenant nothing?

Wine comes from God but drunkenness from the devil!

Yea I guess you did say that. Sorry bout that :D:rolleyes: I think I was confused as to how you came to the conclusion that I was concerned with how people in the past ate and drank, and maybe that's how I thought you were saying that.

Wine comes from God but drunkenness from the devil!

Huh? Where did the puritans come from? I quoted classical sources. You assumed that I was not concerned with how people in the past ate and drank, I responded with classical sources. But not even evangelist is talking about puritans, at least not in the OP. Did I miss something? Soo no...

Wine comes from God but drunkenness from the devil!

Nope. Why did you assume that? I went to bible school and we covered this topic. "wine in Homer's day was twenty parts water and one part wine (Odyssey 9.208-9). Pliny referred to wine as eight parts water and one part wine (National History 14.6.54). According to Aristophanes, it was stronger...

Wine comes from God but drunkenness from the devil!

I like his study. I'm studying in the health care field, and I got a question wrong on a test in regards to this topic. I chose "no alcohol" as the best option, and they marked me wrong :D It's not unhealthy to have one beer a day. There's actually healthy benefits. "moderate alcohol intake...

If God doesn't have a future for the Jews...

I edited after you replied. Iranaeus explicitly teaches both pretrib and rapture side by side.
