    Creating your Own Doctrine

Yep. That's what it means. The natural man, void of the Spirit, never ever desires the things of the Spirit of God. 14 Now the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Cor 2

    Unconditional Salvation

So? What? I'm no follower of John Calvin, you are, in this case. FYI Charlie, I'm not a Calvinist, but I do share their monergism. Lol, I've not a clue what UR is.

    Unconditional Salvation

It most definitely is a refute of your unscriptural notion of justification by our faith ALONE. More: 13 for not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified: Ro 2 24 being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus...

    Unconditional Salvation

Here's another verse that clearly refutes justification by our faith alone: 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, shall we be saved from the wrath [of God] through him. Ro 5

    Unconditional Salvation

I don't see it because it doesn't exist, except in that overactive imagination of yours.

    Unconditional Salvation

I told you you'd be unable to produce scripture that states justification is by our faith alone, and you haven't. No surprise here.

    OSAS Trap

SILV, I'm trying to get you to focus on the word 'save'. "Save yourselves from this crooked generation." Original Word: σώζω Transliteration: sṓzō Phonetic Spelling: sode'-zo [σώζω] from a primary σῶς (contraction for obsolete σάος, "safe"); to save, i.e. deliver or protect (literally or...

    Unconditional Salvation

There's that overactive imagination of yours, again. Nothing you've posted even hints at justification by our faith ALONE from scripture.

    Unconditional Salvation

@Charlie24 So, you’re unable to show me justification by our faith alone from the scriptures, while I can produce scripture that clearly refutes justification by our faith alone.

    Unconditional Salvation

Justification by faith ALONE is unscriptural. You’ve literally added to the scripture. Show me, produce one (1) ittsy bittsy teeny weeny verse that states we are justified by our faith ALONE. It doesn’t exist.

    Unconditional Salvation

You’re being dishonest again. I quoted scripture that clearly states that justification is NOT by faith alone. I said nothing about earning salvation.

    OSAS Trap

K, but the saving, the deliverance, the rescue, was from the wrath that was to come upon THAT GENERATION. 38 And Peter [said] unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39...

    We Are Harness Racing

Lexington has Keeneland Racetrack (horseback) and The Red Mile (harness). I've never been to a harness race, looks fun, for the jockey at least.

I early-voted yesterday morning for Trump and now I wholeheartedly regret it.

I'm not a betting man (except for 2 dollar wagering at Keeneland twice a year), I ran across those articles the other day and linked them to this thread on a whim, just to stir up some conversation.

    The Willful Sin of Unbelief

Once again: "These falling away are described in the letter as brethren, partakers of the Holy Spirit, tasted the good word of God, received the knowledge of the truth, sanctified by the blood of the covenant, the LORD's people...."

    OSAS Trap

As a profession of faith, water baptism saved (delivered, rescued) many Jews from the wrath (great tribulation, time of Jacob's trouble) that fell upon that generation that murdered Christ, and culminated with the destruction of Jerusalem and the end of the Sinai Covenant.

    OSAS Trap

I liked your analogy. As a profession of faith, water baptism saved (delivered, rescued) many Jews from the wrath (great tribulation, time of Jacob's trouble) that fell upon that generation that murdered Christ, and culminated with the destruction of Jerusalem and the end of the Sinai Covenant.

    Unconditional Salvation

It's literally 'born from above', as in born from Jerusalem above, the mother us all. And yes, every saint that ever was, OT & NT, has been 'born from above'. Christ wasn't implementing something new in John 3:8, He was revealing a mystery of old.

    The Willful Sin of Unbelief

@Charlie24 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which shall devour the adversaries. Since the letter is addressing a...
