    ADD/ADHD: Disease or Croc?

In the case of SIDS, a big difference is that a death has occured. There is an objective test for SIDS...a death has occured. "Death" is an objective "symptom". The tests for ADHD are subjective. Just pointing out other disorders does not prove the existence of ADHD.

    ADD/ADHD: Disease or Croc?

Apples and oranges...From what I have read, Hepatitus A, B, and C are caused by viruses. This is a biological cause that can be tested for and identified. ADHD is not known to be caused by a virus. Were there blood tests for Hepatitus A and B in the 1980's (I know that there are now)? If so...

    ADD/ADHD: Disease or Croc?

I have not studied much about panic attacks, but as for depression...if you are referring to "clinical depression" then that is also controversial. However, this thread is about ADHD and is not about depression, the existence of mental illnesses in general, nor panic attacks. Each of those...

    ADD/ADHD: Disease or Croc?

No. I saw where that was said. How does ruling out other diseases/disorders prove the existence of ADHD?

    ADD/ADHD: Disease or Croc?

And Alzhiemer's Disease has been confirmed as a legitimate disease by a biological marker...ADHD has not. It is also not just the fact of the absence of a biological marker. There are many other reasons to doubt the existence of ADHD...many that have probably already been discussed on this forum.

    ADD/ADHD: Disease or Croc?

As you said, there is a biological marker for Alzheimer's Disease even though it is one after the person has died (when the brain is examined). There are no biological markers for ADHD at all. I do not know if autoposies have ever been performed on someone that was diagnosed with ADHD to look...

    ADD/ADHD: Disease or Croc?

Saying in effect, "my children or I have it and therefore it exists," is not proof. Anyone could essentially claim this about anything. This still could be where just different people respond differently to different learning environments and not because of some disorder. Again, as I have...

    ADD/ADHD: Disease or Croc?

There is more information out there than just the internet. There are doctors that question whether or not it exists as an actual disease. There are books that have been written about it. What can you offer as evidence that it does in deed exist as a disorder and should not be questioned on...

    ADD/ADHD: Disease or Croc?

(I have not read through all the posts) I have read enough about ADHD to doubt whether or not it exists as a disease. From what I have read, there is no conclusive biological test for it. The diagnosis is largely if not solely based off behavior observations and what the parents' children tell...

Where did the Black Race come from??

I have not read all the replies in this thread. There is only one "race" and that is the human race. Everyone is a descendant of Adam and Eve; therefore everyone is of "one blood". The variations in skin color we see today are the result of genetic variation and genetic loss.
