If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

How do you know what was on Mac's mind? I just listened to what he said and one contradicts the other from what I heard. You cannot say they have no ability to choose and they have the ability to choose and expect people not to call that a contradiction. Now I have not heard Mac's full talk...

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

Then you are in disagreement with the Holy Spirit BF. Not a good place to be. 1Ti 2:3 This is good and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 1Ti 2:4 who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1Jn 2:2 He Himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not...

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

The point he was trying to make was that MacArthur contradicted himself which from what I heard, he did. That was not selective editing it was just posting two comments by the same person. Flowers did not say Mac was not a calvinist did he? I understand that you do not like Flowers, I do not...

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

Dave compare what MacArthur said in the first then second video. That is what Flowers did. Are you suggesting that Flowers changed MacArthur's words? MacArthur did say that man has the ability to come to to God 4:19 because they did not receive the love of 4:23 the truth the gospel truth...

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

You and @KenH are denying the word of God. It seems both of you have fallen for the false teachings of Augustine and Calvin.

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

Those that freely believe are from all over the world. The atonement was for all of humanity BF. You continue e to miss that point. The atonement made salvation possible for anyone that would trust in God.

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

Jumping from one verse to another in the attempt to support your view that ALL in John 12:32 means elect is deflecting It is not my gospel Ken. It is the word of God. You should take your own advice Ken. I have never said or assumed that ALL always means all people on earth but then again I do...

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

Not what the verse says @Marooncat79. Reading things in context would help you understand the verse. om 10:12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; Rom 10:13 for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE...

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

You wanted to deflect from John 12:32 and what "all" means in that text so you jump to another verse in the attempt to support your odd view. You seem to have a real problem with context Ken. What does Luk 2:1 have to do with John 12:32 except that the word "all" is found in both verses.

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

Just as the bible says; by grace you have been saved through faith. Those that have believed in Him will be saved. That is election.

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

The "Elect One" is Christ Jesus and we are only elect when we are in Him, we are saved. You have people saved prior to them even knowing of God. You theory is just that Ken. A man-made philosophy that you read into scripture.

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

To quote you Ken "The "all" means only those within the purview of Caesar Augustus' decree, not everyone living on the earth at that point in time. The word "all" applied to a particular group of people, not every person on the earth." On what basis do you conclude that "ALL" really means...

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

Ken you must be referring to Eph 1:4 in your post and you have not even used that one correctly. Why do you keep reading "elect" into all those verses Ken? Do you really think the Holy Spirit got it wrong?

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

Was Christ lifted up for some or all? Sorry Ken but you have no proof for your view.

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

So now your saying that it does not apply to anyone from 100 Ad and onward. You just keep digging a deeper hole for yourself Ken.

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

Ken you just proved @Charlie24's case for him. The word "men" is not in the text but neither is "elect" but the word "ALL" is. Joh 12:32 And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw everyone to Myself.” BSB

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

Ken if you take the bible as a whole you see that "ALL" actually means all not just your calvinist elect. God desires all to come to Him not just some as you seem to think. Christ was the propitiation for the whole world not just your so called elect. He was the ransom for all not just the...

    If you weren't Baptist...

The fact that you were concerned about your salvation is actually proof that you are saved. You still believe. The ones that should be concerned because of their wanton ways are not concerned in the least. When someone has drifted so far away from God that it no longer crosses their mind then...
