The effect of Free Will on Scripture.

The Catholic Liturgical Library "Dearly beloved, this child has been reborn in baptism. He (she) is now called the child of God, for so indeed he (she) is. In confirmation he (she) will receive the fullness of God's Spirit. In holy communion he (she) will share the banquet of Christ's sacrifice...

I did not make my position clear. I do not in any way endorse or condone belief in free will. Sorry for any misunderstanding.

The effect of Free Will on Scripture.

If the OT law assumed free will, how could a just God make threats if the law was disobeyed? If your actions result in punishment, your will is not free from consequences. Therefore, not free at all. My view of free will: [Eph 2:1 KJV] 1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead[G3498] in...

If we are ever spiritually dead we would be dead indeed

[Jas 2:26 KJV] 26 For as the body without the spirit [G4151] is dead, [G3498] so faith without works is dead also. The KJV translates Strong's G3498 in the following manner: dead (132x). Outline of Biblical Usage [?] properly one that has breathed his last, lifeless deceased, departed, one...

Christian Hymn Society Releases Collection of ‘Queer Hymns’ [2Pe 2:20-22 KJV] 20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the...

Please consider the following. [Eph 2:1-5 KJV] 1 And you [hath he quickened], who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of...

If we are ever spiritually dead we would be dead indeed

In the early 70s while driving to work one morning I was listening to J. Vernon McGee's broadcast. He explained the three types of death mentioned in the Bible. Spiritual death occurred as a result of the disobedience (sin) of Adam and Eve. Rather than continuing the relationship with God by...

How is physical death related to spiritual death? | GotQuestions.org "Question: "How is physical death related to spiritual death?" The Idea Of Free Will

[Rom 6:16 KJV] 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? Servants obey their master or pay the consequences. NO free passage! [Phl 2:5 KJV] 5 Let this mind be in you...

What Bothers You About the Supremacy of God

Nothing about God's imperium bothers me. Those that are bothered by it are in trouble. Their god's power is limited.

    The misleading arguments against Free-Will

You state that law depends on free will. Are you referring to current civil law or the law of the Old Testament? It seems in either case, if the will of the individual convicts, then it is not free.
