    God's Not Dead

NOTE: I never said I needed another book as I have plenty of apologetics books. Your take is completely different than our resident apologist at our church who has read The New Evidence that demands a verdict cover to cover (impressive). He recommends using the arguments in that book when...

    God's Not Dead

I will rephrase the question. What is the best book defending the Bible & the Christian faith? You cant use the Bible to defend the Bible as thats circular reasoning.

    What are you thankful for?

We had a thanksgiving service today and dinner. Its amazing how the Lord has grown our church spiritually and in numbers of new people attending. When I first joined I tried to create interest among the elders in a door to door evangelism ministry but the idea was ignored. I am not saying...

    God's Not Dead

Ever tried reasoning with an atheist? I have and its very difficult because they are closed to the facts and only open to their naturalistic worldview. However as Ray Comfort says apologetics is the bait, and the law is the hook. We can certainly bait an atheist with apologetics arguments. When...

    A major weakness of Dispensationalism

This is a debate board. Can you not handle the pressure and debates?

    A major weakness of Dispensationalism

You being aware of Bunyan's words does not mean you have read his book on hell called "Sighs from Hell." What part of this do you not understand?

    A major weakness of Dispensationalism

That was not the question. The book is called "Sighs from Hell."

    A major weakness of Dispensationalism

Oh for the love of the monkey! I made a logical error.

    I believe we've debunked preterism.

I do not think proving partial -preterism false is that easy.

    A major weakness of Dispensationalism

Look people must repent and believe in the gospel. It is true the elect are chosen. But.... still we need to preach the gospel and the gospel includes the doctrine of Hell. I will ask again. Are you familiar with John Bunyan's book on Hell? Have you read it?

    A major weakness of Dispensationalism

You call yourself Reformed so are you familiar with the puritans? Are you familiar with John Bunyan’s book on Hell?

    Revelation 1:7 and Partial-Preterism

I agree. However even partial-preterists agree that his second coming is yet future.

    A major weakness of Dispensationalism

I personally am at the moment a Dispensationalist. However I am open to Reformed/Covenant Theology. One major weakness of dispensationalism is the fact that so few churches in their camps preach on Hell. I will borrow a certain post on FB that outlines this problem very well. TO WARN SOMEONE...

    Revelation 1:7 and Partial-Preterism

Also another verse is Matt 26:64 (NIV) 64 “You have said so,” Jesus replied. “But I say to all of you: From now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”[a] Jesus was speaking to the high priest so surely he was speaking of...

    Revelation 1:7 and Partial-Preterism

No. But I want an explanation.

    Revelation 1:7 and Partial-Preterism

Have you read RC Sproul's "The Last Days According to Jesus"? Do you know about the many charts and outlines that Partial-Preterists make?

    Revelation 1:7 and Partial-Preterism

Explain what Jesus meant when he said "This Generation" in Matt 24:34 (NIV) 34 Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
  18. evangelist6589

    I believe we've debunked preterism.

    Full Preterism or Partial Preterism?
  19. evangelist6589

    Revelation 1:7 and Partial-Preterism

Yes Partial-Preterism does make some valid points. Especially when Jesus said "This Generation" in a passage in Mark. Also the book "The Last Days according to Jesus" makes some valid points.

    Revelation 1:7 and Partial-Preterism

How does he interpret Rev 1:7? Do those that pierced him see him in Hell?
