Does All Mean All...Does World mean All

What a great post and use of scripture!

    Calvinist listen up

Now you are just avoiding your own argument. All of that denying gentiles can be saved and elect. So yes, even Paul preaches reformed theology.

Does All Mean All...Does World mean All

What I'm seeing here is that you might perhaps think it is acceptable to avoid facts, preferring instead to verbally assault others who do not agree with you. I don't read Greek but my Pastor teaches it. What I posted comes from the BLB is accurate. The Bible is my standard for Christian...

Is it time for another update/revision of the New International Version (NIV)?

You posted the OP. You made many points but can't identify where you got them. I have answered your question regarding the NIV. If you think I'm going to believe these accusations, you made, without any evidence that it's true, it won't happen. I do my own research, that's how I found the...

    Do We Have Free-Will?

There is not a single verse in the entire bible that says we have free will unto salvation. None at all. You do have free will when it comes to normal everyday things such as what you will wear, eat. You are correct that God chose you first, before the foundation of the world. If you want to...

Is it time for another update/revision of the New International Version (NIV)?

I am not a KJVO. I asked you to identify where you came across the information you posted. So far you haven't answered. I don't read the NIV enough to claim one a favorite.

    Calvinist listen up

You might want to read Acts 13:42-48. 42 So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath. 43 Now when the congregation had broken up, many of the Jews and devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to...

    Calvinist listen up

Maybe try another lexicon. The YLT is excellent, but a good lexicon might serve you better. Acts 16:31 does not address election. I don't know why you would use it here. Acts 13:48 in the YLT serves my argument to the max. You see Gentiles were there and there is no way to ignore those facts.

Really? 2 Corinthians 1:6 | See verse in context And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. James 5:16 | View...

    Calvinist listen up

No need, but if it makes you feel more comfortable go for it. John 12:32 New King James Version (NKJV) 32 And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.” Other translations say "people" The Greek: uses the word 'pas'. Outline of Biblical Usage [?] I.individually...

    Calvinist listen up

I can assure you that Reformed Baptists reject the Catholic Church. If you seriously want to debate this is good faith, show the Greek. My Pastor is a professor of Greek. From Dan Wallace Acts 13:48 is indeed a strong verse on God's sovereign choice of those who would be saved. The verb...

    Calvinist listen up

Here is one thing you should know about me. Don't misrepresent what I have said. I consider it to be unhealthy debate and dishonest. My Bible teaches that Christians don't misrepresent each other. James 1:26 English Standard Version (ESV) 26 If anyone thinks he is religious and does not...

Is it time for another update/revision of the New International Version (NIV)?

I don't think I have changed the subject. I read your post and merely wanted to know where you came across the information you posted.

Yes, I do have a NIV. I bought my first NIV in 1980.

    The P in T.U.L.I.P

I am a Calvinist, but I don't follow John Calvin. He had some serious issues in his works. I would rather say that I believe in Reformed Theology. The word 'calvinist' comes with much of baggage. You didn't say what you object to in your OP. Can you be more specific about your "works...

Is it time for another update/revision of the New International Version (NIV)?

I believe this is true to a great extent. Sadly I have found that many people can't be bothered with evidence. As long as it doesn't divide the body of Christ I can accept a contrary position. I think that I have 48 Bibles. I have the KJV/NKJV/ESV/NASB/CSB,HCSB,NLT,AV1611/Geneva. It has...

Can men with tatoos be saved?

When I was a "youngin" Sunday was the day we dressed for the Lord. That meant our very best. Shined shoes were the rule. Growing up as a Baptist, we always wore our "Sunday goin' to meeting" clothes.
