    Who Populates the Millennial Kingdom?

Darrell C, you raised 2 main issues. I'll try to deal with them briefly and separately. First the heritage issue. Use the parables of the Kingdom (e.g. Matt 13). The Kingdom grows up with both wheat and tares in it. Now how do you suppose that happens? It happens by... birds and the bees. IOW...

    Who Populates the Millennial Kingdom?

I think this is intentionally misconstruing what I'm saying. I believe in a realized eschatology, but not one that is completed or consummated. In other words, in the kingdom, there will be wheat and tares. So my saying that I am populating the Kingdom has nothing to do with covenantal...

    (2) At what point...

The question was, at what point does God start to love people? I only ask b/c the other thread asked when he stops loving people. Seemed a far thing to inquire about.

    Study methods

I just reviewed your initial post on the subject. You are correct. Not sure where I got that idea... I'll blame Van because that is more fun. As for manuscripts, I don't preach from them. But I do enjoy reading others for devotional material.

    Study methods

This is becoming a chicken and egg problem. I'm not advocating to run to the pastor in every instance. I would love for fathers to be able to know and interpret Scriptures well. What I would advocate is that they utilize resources that would make them helpful for their families. They not only...

    Study methods

This is why I raised the questions I did above... I've heard so many people adhere to this method, and then not understand how the method is to function. At least there isn't agreement. I still have a hard time believing this is the best way to study Scriptures. People w/ bad ideas are going to...

Which of these seminaries would you consider?

If you can name for me 1 reputable scholar either teaching or who has earned a degree from this Trinity school or Andersonville, I'll go away. Otherwise, to use the word "vigorous" in connection with either is just misguided.

    Resurrection!/Rapture?

I would argue that pretty much most of those numbers are symbolic. But I can base that on the genre of literature that Revelation is. You can only base it on your futuristic bias pushed on the text.

    Matt. 23:13 (again!)

Yep folks... I am Van and I can't rebut anything they say so I'll just keep repeating myself in the hopes that they will get sick of it and go away.

    Resurrection!/Rapture?

That works well if you understand how to interpret this genre of literature. In other words, it makes sense that a highly symbolic book would use a figure like 1,000 years as a symbol of a long period of time. So if we understand the role of the genre of apocalypse, then we understand that they...

    Resurrection!/Rapture?

How about all of Premillism, not just the dispie brand??? I used to be an ardent dispie. But I left it behind. [see what I did there?]

    Who Populates the Millennial Kingdom?

No... my view would suggest that Jesus did in fact conquer on the cross, and that I am populating the kingdom with my children. Quoting Rev. 20 doesn't make your case. You are letting the tail of Rev 20 wag the proverbial dog of the NT (well the Bible really). I'll give you a hint. Listen...

    Resurrection!/Rapture?

Don't question dispensationalism... Tim Lahaye said it. I believe it.

    Who Populates the Millennial Kingdom?

I do since the millennial kingdom was inaugurated on the cross.

    Matt. 23:13 (again!)

It's like talking to a brick wall. You object to admitting bias in your interpretation. Yet you blatantly introduce bias in your understanding of the reign of God as if that equates to heaven. I have to add, too, that the goal of God's people is not heaven. It is new creation. It is...

Where does faith come from? 2nd Rodeo

A word can be definite in Greek without the article. Just FYI.

    (2) At what point...

So God's wrath isn't really his wrath anymore b/c man chose to go to hell by rejecting God??? I get this line of reasoning, but it does not accord with the totality of Scripture. If hell ceased to be God's wrath and simply man's consequence, then God is not glorified as he set out to be...

    Paul Was Side Tracked...?

This is a long standing debate among scholars of Ephesians. Is chapter 3 a digression or what? How does it flow w/ Paul's argument or discussion? Given Paul's propensity to rabbit trail, is Paul just a wayward writer? I love how Timothy Gombis dealt with this issue in his article, "EPHESIANS...

    Greek Grammars and Helps

Wallace's Greek Grammar (the bigger one) is an invaluable resource. I refer to it so frequently that I ended up putting tabs in it for faster referencing.

    Matt. 23:13 (again!)

So how much prejudgment is required for you to assume that the kingdom is equated with heaven? Did any 2nd temple Jew ever believe that? By the way, you do know that the concept for the Greek word often translated "kingdom" has more to do with the reign of the king than it does of the realm right?
