His speculations were dead in the water. [edit] He made his speculations in 2002. He said within five to ten years a certain result would happen. But in 2007 --nothing of the sort occurred, neither did they occur in 2012. Now it's 2020 and....nothing. Let me ask you, what Christians have been...

His speculations were dead in the water. Now I know you don't have a rudimentary knowledge of English, but this is absurd. He made his speculations in 2002. He said within five to ten years a certain result would happen. But in 2007 --nothing of the sort occurred, neither did they occur in 2012...

    Moving on from the NIV

And did you happen to note in that razor sharp mind of yours, that when comparing the 1984 NIV to the 2011 edition even punctuation was listed as a difference? Did you catch that fact?

    Moving on from the NIV

Sigh, it does no such thing. I have posted threads galore about the 2011 NIV vs, the TNIV. You can't be that forgetful. But for you it's a convenience to say you forgot --even when you participated in my threads on the subject.

NIV vs CSB: which do you prefer?

Charts. The word is in the plural. Yes, there were several charts. They were not the same. But they were outdated and the positions of the various translations were out of line. A lot of reading, but I have never claimed to be an expert.

You are responsible for your own sins. You have been making absolutely false charges against the NIV for more than a dozen years. I have challenged you to prove those wild and irresponsible accusations by citing passages from the text of the New Testament NIV. You have never done so. These are...

Follow along. My remark had nothing to do with the above.

NIV vs CSB: which do you prefer?

Don't be sorry. It just isn't appropriate in this forum. Any thread on any forum gets into logjams as it is. It's best to stick with the topic of a given thread. Not that I have always stood by this principle all time myself.

NIV vs CSB: which do you prefer?

If you seen one, you've seen them all. All of the charts are outdated. They don't include newer translations and yet include very outdated ones. Additionally the advice was a blend of so-so and wrong.

No true prophet is "almost a prophet. One is either a prophet or a _____ prophet. He isn't the latter, because he didn't claim to be a prophet. But his speculations were woefully off-course.

Hey boy. Do your own homework. Don't rely on others. You make charges up out of thin air. Now is the day of reckoning. Cite passages in the New Testament text of the NIV that are indeed complicit of mud-slinging charges all these years. If you can't do it confess and repent. It will do your soul...

NIV vs CSB: which do you prefer?

I get a kick when I see charts showing that The Message is at a 4th or 5th grade level. It doesn't really qualify as a translation, but the reading level is quite high. The Phillips translation (the 1958 or 1972 edition) quite clearly is at a higher register than an 8th grade level. Those...

Not "as much" -- more. Probably 20% more. Is this news to you? Why haven't you fed misinformation about the NLT instead of aiming your squirt gun exclusively at the NIV?

As I have asked you repeatedly over the last dozen years or more ---demonstrate that your contentions are true by citing passages in the New Testament text of the NIV wherein all of your charges are evidenced. Don't merely accuse -- but prove.
