I'm curious why you think God did not give His children the correct Bible doctrine until like 1800 years after He had established His Church? JWs make the same claim, that no one worshiped correctly or had the correct Bible doctrine until they came along about the same time.

I said you can refer to what you know in the bible. I will revise. No proof texting and no posting Scripture references. ;)

What would you say not having a bible in your hands. Just talking with someone you meet? Well, I think we should all know what I mean. My proof texting just means trying to prove your point with bible text, in or out of context. LOL.

Here you can state your position and discuss the doctrines you hold to, but you must do so without posting any proof text. Examples: Why are you a Baptist? Why are you a Catholic? Why are you a SDA? Why are you none of the above? Why do you believe or not believe in Faith Alone? Why do you...

OSAS does not survive the "sola scriptura" test

"And then will I profess unto them, you never loved: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." "And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity". "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:" No, we cannot change the text to suit our...

OSAS does not survive the "sola scriptura" test

There is a detail you are overlooking. Jesus did not say "you never loved", He did say "I never knew you". You have your apples and oranges all mixed up there.

OSAS does not survive the "sola scriptura" test

So you are saying these people who say they did many wonderful works in Jesus' name were faking it?

OSAS does not survive the "sola scriptura" test

In John 1:11 'they had another choice" because it is in the context of the supernatural work of Christ to draw them... they still chose no. They were not saved. The choice was to receive Christ (born again) and they did not. In the case of 1 Cor 9 already born again yet still concerned that he...

OSAS does not survive the "sola scriptura" test

All the warnings are for our assurance. They are to warn the hearer to not be playing church. They are to warn the true believer there will be false believers among you. "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ...

OSAS does not survive the "sola scriptura" test

Wasn't trying to confuse you. Let me try again to answer more clearly. To the first, no such fella exist. To the latter, no such fella exist. Only those who love Jesus Christ and believe He is the Son of God will be saved. Fellas can say they love God, even do many wonderful things, yet...

OSAS does not survive the "sola scriptura" test

If not for the uniquiness of the rebirth you would have a point. With out being born of God all free choice is... is just another choice of religion. To believe you can lose your salvation would be to not understand the rebirth, the new creation, becoming one with Jesus Christ, personally...

OSAS does not survive the "sola scriptura" test

That certainly would be a piece of cake. Anyone who says they love God and hates his neighbor is a liar if he says he is saved (Apostle John) David, a man after God's own heart, found his good deeds and commandment keeping could not justify himself before God, he needed the blood of Jesus...

Oh, in other words, am I sure I am saved? Yes. I'm sure i am saved, even when I do wrong. All wrong doing is sin and even though that sin is covered by the blood as far as eternal security goes, that sin still carries consequences which I also have experienced, God calls it correction for His...

In your world the lost cannot keep the Law of God and be saved, but the saved must keep the Law of God or become unsaved. You cannot see a problem with that kind of thinking? Either keeping the Law of God saves or it does not. Which way do you believe?
