Finally! Amen! The teeth pulling is over! Looks as though you have been the gamer all along.....if indeed you now admit your of yourself commandment keeping plays no part in your justification before God.

OSAS does not survive the "sola scriptura" test

"For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption: But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption. Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness...

OSAS does not survive the "sola scriptura" test

Prioritized for salvation??? The subject here is OSAS - Salvation. Let's see what the Pope Peter had to say about your and SDA commandment keeping and justification... "For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw...

OSAS does not survive the "sola scriptura" test

This sounds like Calvinism. One only has the faith which God has given them. Debate over! Don't bother trying to convince anyone Jesus is Lord, they will only believe if God makes them believe.

OSAS does not survive the "sola scriptura" test

Lot's of people are on the side of Christ whom do not believe He is the Son of God. I.E. Muslims.

OSAS does not survive the "sola scriptura" test

You have a very unique belief system. Anyone who does good is saved, help your neighbor - saved, give to the poor - saved, reject Jesus Christ - saved, but then you argue for losing salvation, betray Jesus Christ - lost, break a commandment - lost, commit a sin - lost. I would include stop...

OSAS does not survive the "sola scriptura" test

So you believe Judas believed Jesus was the Son of God but then decided to betray God? Yeah that makes perfect sense.

OSAS does not survive the "sola scriptura" test

How about on the grounds of what Jesus Christ says? That would be a good starting point dodn;t you think? "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3:18) Note...

The answer to the question reveals where the person's hope of salvation lies. In the works of himself or in the works of Jesus Christ. What is your answer to the question?

That's not what this is Bob. You keep re-posting your works scriptures as if they somehow dismiss God's Word stating salvation is "not of yourselves...not of works". You have not addressed the matter at all, you only choose to ignore the part where God says salvation is "not of yourselves"...

    Seventh-day Adventists continued...

With all your post you gave no explanation as to why Eph 2 declares salvation is "not of yourselves". You preach salvation is of works. Are these works of yourself or not? If they are, then you need to explain the Word which declares salvation is "not of yourselves". This you have not done, you...

Still waiting..... All you have to do is explain how these "good works" tie in with salvation being "not of yourselves". We wait your response.......

OSAS does not survive the "sola scriptura" test

That question is for Utlyan. He and I had a long debate over rejecting Jesus Christ where he insisted rejecting Jesus Christ was not grounds for being lost. So I am very curious why he even believes one can actually lose salvation at all.

That would be very helpful. What is your understanding of "saved"?

This is an interesting turn of events. Are you saying rejection of the Gospel results in one being lost?

OSAS does not survive the "sola scriptura" test

How sweet to see Bob cuddling up with a lost (according to Bob) Catholic. BobRyan said: ↑ "....if I were to reject all of scripture and become a Catholic "would I still be saved"??? Are you even serious?? Of course that would not be the path of salvation - that would be rejecting the Word of God."
