    Primitive Baptists beliefs

I consider myself in believing the Sovereignty of God, but there are many that believe this also that see some things differently than I do. Some believe you cannot be saved except you have believed under a sovereign grace preacher. Some believe you cannot be saved except you believe sovereign...

    Primitive Baptists beliefs

I believe God tries his people to prove to them how much they love Him. David was in a high position being king of Israel so more was required of him as he was in the public eye. David committed sin, God brought the chastening rod on his life, the sword never left his house. I know of some today...

Killing Calvinism: How to Destroy a Perfectly Good Theology from the Inside

I too was brought up free will and never questioned it. Both sides of my parents family believed in backsliding and everything that is attached to free will. After I was saved the comforter began to show me scripture that over time I embraced eternal security of the saints. In 1980 I purchased...

The doorway of Drugs to the spirit world

He has freedom in the realm of his nature but he has no more freedom to rise above his nature than a Leopard to change his spots. Real freedom comes through Christ, St. John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

The doorway of Drugs to the spirit world

Unregenerate man does have a free will, but his will is to sin and that my friend he is free to do.

pinoy, I would like to believe this, but the scripture say's by their fruit ye shall know them and the person didn't bare any fruits of the Spirit as listed in Gal 5:22-23.

    Primitive Baptists beliefs

pinoy, would you have hope for a person that had a desire to be saved and numerous times in their life prayed for God to save them, being taught to do so, but never did have an assurance all their life and finally died this way ?

I live somewhere south of the Mason Dixon line.

    Primitive Baptists beliefs

To be fair let me add this. There are also some statements that Sovereign Grace preachers make that I don't agree with either.

    Primitive Baptists beliefs

There are a couple of PB churches about a forty five minute drive from me and several more in different small towns not to far away. I have visited these churches once in a while over the years and yes all of them are small in number and most only hold service once a month. The church buildings...

The doorway of Drugs to the spirit world

I believe it is a shame to rehearse the sins in public that we committed while we were sinners. Eph 5:12. It seems on this thread that everyone is taking pride in the fact they took drugs. This is the reason I detest testimony services in church.

I appreciate the apology but none was needed. We all have our bad moments.

    Primitive Baptists beliefs

This is your whole problem, you are basing your whole belief system on your sister and whether babies go to hell or not, but the Redman you could care less about. I could get caught up as you are by babies in the Indian thing because they are my people and be just like you are. The truth is, the...

    Primitive Baptists beliefs

I believe man is passive in regeneration but active in conversion. I think what some call conviction of sin in a persons heart others call regeneration. I think what some believe is conversion when they believe on the Lord Jesus Christ others call gospel salvation or time salvation. I happen to...

    Primitive Baptists beliefs

I don't have to check history as I have a lot of Indian blood in my veins. The red man worshiped many Gods before the white man came. The bear is my brother and the earth is my mother. I also believe because they believed in many gods the true and living God brought judgment upon them unto this...

    Primitive Baptists beliefs

I had a conversation with a PB preacher several years ago and the talk got around to the heathen nations being saved or not saved without the gospel. I used the American Indians as an example before the white man brought the gospel to them. This is what he said. quote: Take for example a Indian...

Are the Elect under wrath of God Until actual salvation then?

THE FOREKNOWLEDGE OF GOD by Arthur W. Pink The word "foreknowledge" is not found in the Old Testament. But know occurs there frequently. When that term is used in connection with God, it often signifies to regard with favour, denoting not mere cognition but an affection for the object in view...

Are the Elect under wrath of God Until actual salvation then?

If your understanding of foreknowledge is they looked down through time to see who would repent and believe, you have totally put salvation in the hands of men. You believe in a checkerboard salvation. God makes a move, the devil makes a move, but man makes the deciding move.

Free Grace Theology vs. Armianism vs. Calvinism

Pleasure don't have anything to do with it. What does ? Gods word is honored. Nahum 1:2 The Lord will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies. Gods justice shall be satisfied and his wrath will be made known to wicked sinners.
