    Debate on Codex Sinaiticus

"The Codex Sinaiticus has been corrected by so many hands that it affords a most interesting and intricate problem to the palaeographer who wishes to disentangle the various stages by which it has reached its present condition...." (Codex Sinaiticus - New Testament volume; page xvii of the...

If repentance is necessary for eternal life...(then why)?

The arrangement of the four Gospels is in perfect harmony. In the Synoptics [Matthew, Mark, and Luke] the call is to repent. In John the emphasis is laid upon believing. Some have thought that there is inconsistency or contradiction here. But we need to remember that John wrote years after the...

Words of Christ in Red Lettering

Yeah some members of our church were talking and there was mention of a guy who believed only the red lettered words were the words of God.

Words of Christ in Red Lettering

2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2Pe_1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. This...

Why believers cannot resist sinful temptations? (continue conversation)

They will never admit this is what they believe.. but it really is. God holds people accountable for things they can't do, and for things they can't resist doing. But somehow man is still accountable for it..

    Debate on Codex Sinaiticus

I guess most people do keep what they consider to be their good bibles hidden away and not in use.. why in the world would someone want a good accurate bible to see any use is beyond me... The Catholics have the right idea, Keep your bibles on the top shelf of the closet and let it collect...

Revision Revised and it's implications on modern critical texts.

It should be noted that for every One minority reading found in the KJB, there are at least 20 such minority readings found in the modern versions like the NASB, NIV, ESV, NET and Holman Standard and the CT. These modern versions often do not even agree with each other. One will follow a...

Revision Revised and it's implications on modern critical texts.

Burgon's principles were for any REVISION of the Greek text. the TR was the first printed Greek text in existence NOT a revision so this statement isn't even valid, and the texts behind it were brought together supernaturally by God's divine provision. :)

    Ross vs. Hovind Debate

Hovind's problem is that our tax dollars are going to support the teaching of their religion and not ours. Neither of them can be proved: So either both of them need to be out of the schools or both taught.

    Debate on Codex Sinaiticus

Mormons believe that men can become Gods and believe in many Gods, the NWT of John 1:1 being the word was a god would support Mormon Doctrine. I am well aware of both JW and Mormon beliefs/doctrine. I made the statement purposely.

    Question on wine?

How can we accept that it is indeed fermented wine when the bible also says this: Hab 2:15 Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!

    Debate on Codex Sinaiticus

I can see it now 2,000 years from now they will find a new world translation in the garbage bin of an ancient headquarters of the watchtower society and they'll publish a new Critical text based on the readings from the New World Translation, and then everyone will become Mormons because they'll...

    The Call of Missionaries

I went on a Missions trip to the Dominican Republic and after I came back I had a huge appreciation and respect for foreign missionaries: Honestly people in America have no idea how good we have it here. You ought to be very careful about what you say about God's missionaries.

Matt 18 and Matt 6 Disprove OSAS

But if you forgive not men their trespasses,.... On the other hand, where men are not of a forgiving temper to their fellow creatures and fellow Christians, how can they expect forgiveness at the hands of God? or what sense of pardoning grace can there be upon their minds? Had they any right...

Matt 18 and Matt 6 Disprove OSAS

The bible says faith without works is dead. If the servant was really saved in the first place, than he wouldn't have had any debt. How can he repay debt that Jesus already paid? The implication is that if someone is really saved than they will forgive others. 1Jn 2:19 They went out...
