Believers stay righteous by practicing righteousness

Perhoops, you've not been payin' attention all of these weeks to what I've been saying!

Believers stay righteous by practicing righteousness

Yes, this is credited to you at the moment of your INITIAL salvation! But, the NT teaches us that this salvation must be maintained. All I would like to know is ... what do you say to all of the "keep yourself righteous" verses in the OP?

Believers stay righteous by practicing righteousness

I apologize if this offend you, but ... you can snatch yourself out of your comfy eternal security doctrine. YOU can fall away from the faith. YOU can cause yourself to be estranged from Christ. YOU can fall from grace. YOU can draw back to perdition. YOU can become a habitual (unrepentant)...

Hey, MB ... how y'all doin' with these verses? Warnings to the churches about gaining eternal death

Believers stay righteous by practicing righteousness

By adding "habitual" I am actually giving grace to the sinner. Many argue that ONE sin (of any kind) separates us from being righteous. IMO, habitual sinning is usually doing what one knows is forbidden. E.G. Many pastors are admitting in polls that they are addicted to pornography. IMO...

Believers stay righteous by practicing righteousness

So, let me get this straight ... you reject the verses in the OP? All I see everywhere is REJECTION of the precious word of God (Scripture), which is to me is ... REJECTION of the precious Word of God (Jesus).

I guess you've never heard (and/or believed) ... "God loves the sinner, but hates the sin!" What's the cave # again ... wherein thouest resides?

4 of Satan’s biggest lies to born-again believers

Let's move from Kindergarden to a much higher level of understanding: Did you know there are two types of sin taught in the Old Testament, our schoolmaster of God's ways? John speaks of the two types in 1 John 5:16-17. Sins unto death (breaking the major commandments of God, which anyone...

4 of Satan’s biggest lies to born-again believers

Okay, have it your way ... "New" are not forgiven, just the "Old". Give it up, man.

Who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will.—Ephesians 1:11

Just a heads-up ... Are you aware that Paul was writing to "the faithful" believers in the church at Ephesus? All of those wonderful descriptions of who they were, etc.! IMO, he was NOT really writing to the unfaithful believers! Ditto for his letter to the Colossian church. Please note that...

Believers stay righteous by practicing righteousness

Because these "so many posters": -- are not deceived, brainwashed, etc. with false doctrine and/or -- have been open enough for the Spirit to reveal the Truth

Believers stay righteous by practicing righteousness

Yes, thanks! Hebrews 3 and Hebrews 4 both speak about: Disobedience proves Unbelief ...and... Unbelief causes Disobedience Please, don't be involved in either of these! For if you do, you will fall. Does falling mean loss of salvation? Probably "Yes" because it was caused by unbelief. The...

Believers stay righteous by practicing righteousness

This mostly refers to one's INITIAL salvation experience! But ... If Joe was to lose his faith, fall away from the faith, etc. ... Joe's faith has become shipwrecked (lost). How is Joe's righteousness doing now? It also has become lost ... as has his salvation. Just another proof that OSAS is a...

Believers stay righteous by practicing righteousness

If you understand the basics of the inherited sin nature, you should see the Good News as an opportunity to go to heaven. Many BACs actually believe in eternal security because they actually love Jesus, follow Jesus, obey Jesus (as they have been commanded to do)! And when they slip up, they...

Believers stay righteous by practicing righteousness

Instead of me suggesting that you think long and hard about this topic, I suggest that you pray long and hard about it.

Believers stay righteous by practicing righteousness

Yes, when the believer initially receives the Holy Spirit INSIDE, he/she is spiritually sealed to indicate to the spirit world that he/she has been positionally sanctified (set apart) to be worked on ... during the process of progressive sanctification unto holiness! Perhaps, the sealing also...

4 of Satan’s biggest lies to born-again believers

Apparently, you do not believe what 2 Peter 1:9 obviously says!

True Saving Faith = Believe, Repent, Obey

Davey-boy, It looks to me as if you will have to discover all of this the hard way. All I can advise you is to WAKE UP. Do BACs practice righteousness out of their free will ... OR ... Do BACs practice righteousness because they're forced to? “Little children, let no one deceive you. He who...
