Believers stay righteous by practicing righteousness

Looking at the above ... -- his workmanship --- God is working on us (but we have free will). -- created for good works --- We choose whether we do good works. -- God has ordained that we should co-operate -- Again free will. BACs were NOT created to be robots with NO free will. I believe that...

Summary of TULIP After Reading This Site for Over Eight Years

I've noticed in the OT several verses where God says that ... He desires to dwell with those who have humble and contrite hearts. So, I've been wondering if this might be how He chooses people for election.

Believers stay righteous by practicing righteousness

Would you care to show me a verse quoted out of context, and explain why?

Aaaaah, more verses you don't like! No problem, I'll send you a pair of scissors.

True Saving Faith = Believe, Repent, Obey

C'mon, we're talking about BACs. Everything we've been talking about is about BACs. We know non-BACs are going to hell ... that's a given. The NT is written (mostly) to (and for) BACs. The NT has instructions, warnings, edifications, encourgements, exhortations, etc. ... just for BACs ... It...

True Saving Faith = Believe, Repent, Obey

Yes, exactly ... you're getting it. God requires BACs' free-will choices to follow and obey God. However, I don't see these BACs taking any credit for it, do you? Hmmm, maybe you do.

Believers stay righteous by practicing righteousness

This is an incredible post ... I wish that someone would explain it to me.

Believers stay righteous by practicing righteousness

Scripture teaches that one’s righteous standing before God can be lost. Believers must be sanctified unto holiness progressively – for salvation is a process! “… let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous just as He is righteous. He who sins is of the devil … Whoever...

4 of Satan’s biggest lies to born-again believers

Your Isaiah verses refers to man before becoming a BAC. And ... Please explain the copious NT verses in the up-coming righteousness thread. Thank you.

4 of Satan’s biggest lies to born-again believers

All translations that I'm aware of have: old, past, previous, etc. Have you not read the NT verses about BACs being TESTED? Or, of them being told to CONFESS their sins to have them cleansed? It's all about jumping through hoops, dog and pony shows, etc. whilst trying to uphold old and tedious...

True Saving Faith = Believe, Repent, Obey

You really need to go back and do some re-building! Hey, no biggie ... all of your doctrines don't need trashing. God's Salvation Plan = God salvation + works salvation God's Salvation Plan = mutual co-operation between God and man We see this all throughout the Bible (except for creation)...

Conditional warnings to the churches about eternal life

“Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel … by which you are saved, IF you hold fast that word which I preached to you – unless you believed in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:1-2) “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap (eternal life), IF we do not lose...

True Saving Faith = Believe, Repent, Obey

The JKV is not perfect, and it was determined long ago that 2:16 should read: "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith IN Jesus Christ" And, true saving belief-faith includes ENDURING repentance and obedience! Please throw old doctrine in the dumpster, and...

True Saving Faith = Believe, Repent, Obey

IMO, you are guilty of this also ... rejecting many clear NT verses, which teach that salvation can be lost. E.G. there are few of them listed in this thread, which you have ignored ... Warnings to the churches about gaining eternal death .

4 of Satan’s biggest lies to born-again believers

Why don't you take one of my verses and show how it's out of context? Or, are you like many people who just HOPE they're out of context.

True Saving Faith = Believe, Repent, Obey

Apparently, you have missed some of the previous discussions. These verses have to do with initial salvation when the believer receives the Holy Spirit. However, the epistles make it very clear that salvation must be maintained, i.e. it can be lost.

True Saving Faith = Believe, Repent, Obey

I was referring to BACs who submit to taking it will go into the Lake of Fire! And the 2 blues have bit the dust, is that right?

4 of Satan’s biggest lies to born-again believers

I feel sorry for you because you have been brainwashed into false doctrines! Salvation is conditional because of all the NT verses involved which say it is. E.G. Have you ever noticed the dozen "IF" conditional NT verses? Because of the whole entire NT ... the NT word "believe" must mean a lot...

True Saving Faith = Believe, Repent, Obey

Don't the 2 blues disagree. I agree with the red (election), although it is very unpopular. I don't agree with the U/L --- BACs aren't prevented from falling away, etc. E.G. Don't you understand what taking the mark of the beast is all about?

True Saving Faith = Believe, Repent, Obey

Hey, DG ... Methunks, I basically agree with all of this!
