Is anyone interested in "the baptism with the Holy Spirit"?

Please don't conveniently ignore the previous verse, which is John 10:27. Do you hear Jesus voice? ... I.E. are you led by God's Spirit (Romans 8:14)? Does Jesus know you? ... W.E.Vine says knew in Matt 7:23 means approved of. Do you follow Jesus? ... Those who follow Jesus are faithful, i.e...

Is anyone interested in "the baptism with the Holy Spirit"?

Is this Pentecostal Oneness (who don't believe in the Trinity)? Just checking.

Is anyone interested in "the baptism with the Holy Spirit"?

You're in the deep dark ages past ... IMO, all denominations have FINALLY seen the light that 1 Corinthians 13:10 refers to none other than Jesus Himself.

OK, OK ... I'll bite ... Please explain ... maybe It will help someone.

This is all a pile of garbage! ... Congratulations are in order, and may you rest in peace.

Is anyone interested in "the baptism with the Holy Spirit"?

No distinction at all. I say what the NT says ... Have you not noticed all of the many dire warnings to the churches about: losing salvation, gaining eternal death, being estranged from Christ, falling from grace, drawing back to perdition, not being allowed into the kingdom of God, not being...

Is anyone interested in "the baptism with the Holy Spirit"?

First, let us remember that Paul was writing to "the faithful" believers in Ephesus, and NOT to the unfaithful ones! ... Faithful believers are the obedient ones. IMO, your Eph 1:13 refers to receiving the Holy Spirit INSIDE, which is a sign to the spirit world ... (1) that you have been...

Is anyone interested in "the baptism with the Holy Spirit"?

Yes, this is terrific ... and I am extremely happy for you! FYI, brother, most Spirit-filled BACs believe that tongues is the necessary confirmation of receiving this baptism (not salvation). However, obviously there can be exceptions. IMO, God is not much into the black and white thing...

Is anyone interested in "the baptism with the Holy Spirit"?

Actually, the Holy Spirit is INSIDE you (and Paul says this in 7 different verses). When BACs are baptized WITH (or IN) the Holy Spirit, He falls UPON them. There are 7 Spirit baptism passages where UPON is used. IMO, being baptized "IN" agrees better with UPON (than does "WITH").

Is anyone interested in "the baptism with the Holy Spirit"?

Yes, praise God! He gave me a second fiddle when my first one got sat UPON by an elf. Thanks for reminding me ... it was 26 years ago.

Is anyone interested in "the baptism with the Holy Spirit"?

Yes, some people call it "the second blessing". And only BACs who have been so blessed have been "filled" with the Spirit. It is like being filled to overflowing (with tongues overflowing as a result). Most people believe that this "baptism with the Holy Spirit" is confirmed to the person and...

Is anyone interested in "the baptism with the Holy Spirit"?

Everyone who believes (to God's satisfaction) receives the precious Holy Spirit INSIDE (Paul says He is INSIDE in 7 verses). Some say this is the born-again experience. The Holy Spirit performs this ... 1 Cor 12:13 ... "For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body— whether Jews or...

Is anyone interested in "the baptism with the Holy Spirit"?

Is there a command to believe and receive the Spirit INSIDE and to be initially saved (some say born again)? I see it more as an invitation.

Is anyone interested in "the baptism with the Holy Spirit"?

"The baptism with the Holy Spirit" is different than receiving the Holy Spirit INSIDE at the time when one is initially saved. Elsewhere, we are discussing this with great interest, and I thought maybe some here would like to do likewise.

Believers stay righteous by practicing righteousness

Brother, please review my posts and learn that your verse above refers to one's INITIAL salvation when he receives everything! However, the whole of the NT epistles warns that ... one must maintain his righteous standing before the Lord. I'm not going to repeat all the details again here.

Believers stay righteous by practicing righteousness

Okay, only through Him do you have NO free will, and only through Him art thou a robot. Terrific ... now, carry on in your delusions.

Believers stay righteous by practicing righteousness

1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. IMO, 1 John 3:9 refers to habitual (unrepentant) sin. IMO, 1 John 1:10 refers to the occasional sin (repented of ?).

Oh man, I graduated from Kindergarden years ago. Do you really need to see all of the verses proving post #74?

Believers stay righteous by practicing righteousness

If forget ... Do we agree that ... man is NOT capable of choosing Jesus and His gospel, so God must provide the necessary faith for him to believe?
