    Being born-again = brain atrophy

If the theory is true that the smaller brain equates to a born again Christian, then Barack Obama and Mitt Romney ought to be the two greatest Christians that ever lived? Guess that kind of destroys that notion. Excellent observation.

    Being born-again = brain atrophy

So says the research article posted at http://www.wnd.com/2012/03/study-links-being-born-again-to-brain-atrophy/ I couldn't help myself so I tracked down Amy D. Owen of the Center for the Study of Aging at Duke University at ( amy.owen@duke.edu ) What a farce! I suppose it's popular...

    The Crisis of Conference Christians

Read the very last paragraph on page 3. ...didn't he mention somewhere about "groupies"?

    Over Involvement

The problem isn't as prevalent in my church now. Just past churches. That's good. The last church we attended unless you were from the Parker or Marshburn clan about all you could do is sit on the pew and tithe.

    Over Involvement

My pastor now does do a sermon a couple times a year about being active. We have a three hour seminar for those that desire to join the church and one thing the pastor sa.... Then what might be the problem?

    Over Involvement

I've been in churches where they almost beg for volunteers to help with kids church just one Sunday a month or door greeting and various other menial tasks that could be done to ease up the workload of others and see people say things like "I can't because my duty to be an intercessary pray-er...

    Over Involvement

.... on an all expenses paid guilt trip? Guilt trips have replaced motivation. Guilt trips will make you sick at heart. No matter what you do it just "ain't" enough. If you hang around long enough you're gonna get beat into submission. You'll become a Sheeple. Guilt trips will drive you...

    Should We Be Grateful...

Maybe we all can be a little oversensitive at times, I know that I am. The reason why I try to encourage someone when they're down, is it's always easier to put someone down when they're down. I always want to offer an extended hand to my Brethern when they feel downtrodden. We all need a...

    Should We Be Grateful...

Otherwise know as The Pharisees God help them. I agree. Saw a post a few weeks back where this poster said, "Hello..., I'm new here!" What an example this forum is offering with most of all under the heading of ego.

    Should We Be Grateful...

It must be nice to have all the answers and all of ones entire life in a bottle with a neat little cork capping it off. Must be nice, indeed.

    Should We Be Grateful...

I have not assumed a position here regarding Paul's place in life or what he offers up to this forum. What I take exception to is the holier than thou crowd who desire to sit in judgement of another. If this is the case then it's not right; it's not scriptural; it's not Christian. Hence, I...

    Should We Be Grateful...

I wonder if a comment like the "false cause of the OP" is right up there with questioning anothers salvation? Like in, "alleged Christians"?

    Should We Be Grateful...

Look at you calling others 'alleged Christians' while rebuking for the exact thing you're doing. That's you calling the salvation of others into question. ...yep, you're right. You win.

    Should We Be Grateful...

...some of you folks are just so proud of yourselves you could just pop, huh? Contrary to what some might think..., behind every alleged "whiner", with or without cheese, or at the end of the comedy of errors, is a heart felt thought or message trying to be heard. Should you not want to hear...

    Should We Be Grateful...

It would appear to me that those who take an aggressive approach to all others lack self-confidence themselves. As such, they try to throw their weight around like a bully on the street corner. Shoving and pushing is their way. Education is one thing...wisdom is another.

    Update on bicycle accident case..

What is a walking class? Folks like me are considered in the walking class. Those most refined, polished, and sanitized by the Word of God who believe themselves to float along, are a notch above the walking class. ...you know, like the Penguin in the Movie, Blues Brothers?

    Update on bicycle accident case..

Sounds to me like the event's over. That's correct. End of subject. One who takes exception to another always relies upon language such as, "You" did this; "You" did that; "He" said; "He" did; "He" admitted, etc. The guy has already been before 'da judge. If the resulting verdict is...

    Update on bicycle accident case..

The OP admitted he was wrong in front of a judge. He explained "his" emergent situation and the Judge agreed. The only point I am trying to make here is that we should not sit in judgement of another. That's not Christian. More aptly, criticism would be justified had he refused to go to...
