    Can anyone be saved?

Yes, that was an Apostle opening up the OT scriptures which spoke of Jesus Christ. We have 27 books of Holy Spirit inspired commentary concerning Jesus Christ OT and NT and Christian living. Do we need more??? Wasn't the Apostles writings thorough enough???

Saving Faith: God’s Gift to Sinners or Sinners’ Gift to God?

not sure what you are getting at. I don't think I ever said don't preach and don't use the word to teach. Hey, we already agreed that man's commentary always has the possibility that it is in error. :wavey:

Saving Faith: God’s Gift to Sinners or Sinners’ Gift to God?

Well, not exactly. You stated your own conclusions, basically did a rewrite. So my question is, why didn't the Apostles just say it like you say it? Problem solved!! No controversy, No division. All God needed to do was have Paul say it like you said it here above. End of controversy!!!

    Can anyone be saved?

Anyone who is not an Apostle. The cannon is closed. We all are reading the same Scriptures and must take them at their word WITHOUT going beyond what is written.

    Can anyone be saved?

There we go again. Do not add to the word of the LORD.

    Can anyone be saved?

Hmmm, don't recall the Scripture saying that second sentence. Try not to go beyond what is written!!! :wavey:

    Can anyone be saved?

I like. And I already know the answer.

    Can anyone be saved?

Now there you go putting you spin on what was written. Just let it say what it says. You are going beyond what is written.

    Can anyone be saved?

We don't want to give text out of context. You could answer by reading full passages of scripture in which you believe answers the question properly. Are we saying the Apostles writings are not sufficient to answer the question? They need uninspired men's added help?

    Unbelief of TULIP

idk, I believe the depth of the Gospel is understood from rebirth. Otherwise, I doubt the person got saved....

    Can anyone be saved?

Put yourself in the shoes of the person asking the question. You are asking a Christian to show you from the bible if anyone can be saved. Surely God has given enough words from His Apostles to give an answer without adding your own comments, no?

    Can anyone be saved?

And that commentary would be of a Calvinistic lean, correct?
  19. steaver

    Unbelief of TULIP

Out of the millions of Christians throughout history until now, how many would you say could care less about Calvinism/TULIP? Or even understand it's complexity? The Gospel is very simple and that is the way God wanted it.

    Can anyone be saved?

Here is a challenged. Answer the title question giving ONLY passages of Scripture in context to the question (eternal salvation). NO commentary!
