Baptist nurse suspended for offering to pray for patient

It's in the OP story and also the local news; in both places the tract is referred to as a 'prayer card', but the printed version of the Telegraph (but not the online version in the OP) article has a picture of the 'prayer card' and it's basically an evangelistic tract complete with 'Sinner's...

One in three Brits is creationist

Depends where you go; I think secularism is on the march everywhere in the Western World. I don't think any of us can afford to be complacent.

Is the Bible properly described as "The Word of God"?

You're still dodging the question. Let me rephrase it: where in the Scriptures does it say that all Scripture='Word of God'? 'Scripture' is a term that is used in the Bible.

Baptist nurse suspended for offering to pray for patient

Apparently she also handed out tracts to the patients and had been spoken to about this before. I still think the hospital trust's actions are disproportionate though. I think she's been perhaps at worse unwise and inappropriate (for example, I don't offer to pray for clients who are in the...

Social services remove young children from grandparents and arrange adoption by gay c

With that I can agree. There's also the point that the children are likely to suffer from homophobic bullying at school on account of having 'parents' with an unconventional lifestyle.

Is the Bible properly described as "The Word of God"?

That doesn't answer my question. To repeat it and to clarify: where in the Bible does it say that the Bible is 'The Word of God'? Chapter and verse, please. For example, the verse from Hebrews which you quoted could have said, "The Word of God - which is the Scriptures - etc", but it doesn't. So...

Where does it say in this verse that 'Word of God'=Bible?

Social services remove young children from grandparents and arrange adoption by gay c

No, I wouldn't want my children to go to a same-sex couple, but that's because I disapprove of their lifestyle and I wouldn't want my children raised in that environment, not because I think they would be any more likely to abuse my children than a straight couple.

One in three Brits is creationist

Story here; and a whopping 51% believe that evolution alone doesn't account for our origins - however, this would include intelligent designers and theistic evolutionists as well as 6-day YECies. I know the proportions are much higher Stateside but it does at least indicate that we Brits are not...

Social services remove young children from grandparents and arrange adoption by gay c

I agree that both are perversions, but the evidence that the two are otherwise connected does not bear out your theory.

Baptist nurse suspended for offering to pray for patient

Story here Is this discrimination by the employer or an abuse by the nurse of her position?

Sorry, are you seriously falling for the delusion that 'homosexual'='paedophile'?

Is the Bible properly described as "The Word of God"?

I'm not saying what I think may describe the Bible, I'm just trying to say that Pastor David's referencing to 'words spoken by God and then written down' as defining 'The Word of God' may not be the same as the entire Bible.

Is the Bible properly described as "The Word of God"?

No, I'm more asking for a definition of "The Word of God" and whether or not that has equivalence with the Bible on my bedside table.

Is the Bible properly described as "The Word of God"?

But I'm not sure that that amounts to a description of 'The Bible' (at least not as we currently have it). Bits of it, may be.

Is the Bible properly described as "The Word of God"?

On what basis are the Scriptures to be described as "The Word of God" (I know we have Heb 4:12 as an example but it is not clear that that applies to written as opposed to spoken words eg: through the prophets).

Social services remove young children from grandparents and arrange adoption by gay c

Some flesh on the bones of the story: 1. Both grandparents despite their relative youth have health issues which would ordinarily render them unsuitable for adoption under the normal UK criteria 2. The (single) mother of the children is a recovering heroin addict and is currently on...
