    The creation: origins

I can't say that I believe it as a fact, but I certainly can't dismiss it altogher and be realistic. Take a look at my recent posts.

    The creation: origins

This is how science and the Bible are working together. Every time something is found and dates back beyond the 6000 years of the supposed original creation, the Gap Theory is looking more and more to be true.

    The creation: origins

I'm not telling you to believe the Gap Theory, I'm telling to understand it and then dismiss it if you like.

    The creation: origins

That's why it's a theory some will see something in it some won't. When you take in consideration that Moses used 2 different words selectively that mean the opposite in what God spoke into existence and what He refabricated, one begins to wonder is this a recreation, and how long ago was the...

Would this be a KJ- Only?

Yes, they definitely are. It's not like they check you at the door and send you away it you don't have a KJV Bible. You can take any version of the Bible you like in these Churches. But you will hear preaching, memory verses taught to kids, Sunday School lessons, etc, from the KJV.

    The creation: origins

Ok, everyone can't see it clearly from the start, it takes a little time to sink in. If there is anything in post #26 you need defined let me know.

    The creation: origins

Trust me, Ben, Gen. 1 is a recreation. Reread post #26 carefully, the 2 great lights are the sun and the moon. I should have pointed that out but didn't. Reread the post

    The creation: origins

In those bold verse God is not speaking into existence the sun and the moon, the 2 great lights, it's not the original creation. He is remaking them from what's left and it is a recreation.

    The creation: origins

@Ben1445 Look at the above post, the bold. In Gen. 1:1 God created/spoke the universe into existence from nothing. But in the verses I placed in bold He made from existing materials. Why is God not creating/speaking into existence in those bold verses, instead of making those things with...

    Do You believe in God?

Let me explain something, Brother. The Trinity is one of the many things the believer learns to treasure in their hearts through the sanctification of the Spirit while growing in grace after salvation. We can't make these things a must for salvation for the unknowledgeable to know before...

    Do You believe in God?

The Trinity is good, every Church should teach it. Where we cross the line is when we make these things mandatory for salvation!

    Do You believe in God?

I know a little about it. Yes, I agree all 3 are distinct persons of the Godhead.

    Do You believe in God?

You can't show us, Van because it's not there! What you're teaching is called false doctrine in the Bible! It comes from Church indoctrination, a Church that is on the wrong path.

    Do You believe in God?

Paul closed out his epistles and never told us that. Why don't you show us in Scripture where we must beleive the Trinity to be saved?

    Do You believe in God?

Paul never said we had to believe the Trinity to be saved, Van said that! Here's what Paul said. Romans 10:9-10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man...

    Do You believe in God?

Folks, once again this poster is addressing me and not the topic. He's pretending not to know anything I was talking about.

    Do You believe in God?

Come on Van, is it really "this poster is addressing me and not the topic" again? You know my objection, you can't help but know it, I made it very clear.

    The creation: origins

I'm not arguing a theory, just trying to explain it. It doesn't matter to me what anyone thinks of a proposed theory, but if it were a doctrine in Scripture that matters, that is a different story.

    The creation: origins

It can be very confusing if you're not very familiar with it. It just takes some time of kicking it around a bit and placing everything, if you have the patience for it.

    The creation: origins

The Gap Theory is saying that Satan's rebellion took place at some point in infinity past, when we don't know, but long before the recorded recreation beginning in Gen. 1:3, but after the original creation in Gen. 1. There is a long gap between the 2, the reason it's called the Gap Theory.
