    The creation: origins

I lean toward the Gap Theory. Something happened between Gen. 1:1 and 1:2, I believe. When God created the heaven and the earth in 1:1, something caused it to become "without form, and void and darkness. I believe in 1:1 everything was created and what we are reading in the creation is a...

    Do You believe in God?

Sounds like someone I know an agree with. I used to be the same way, just ask Ky. LOL, I remember K replying with something like, "all that comes out of that claptrap is Calvinism."

    Do You believe in God?

Yes, predestiation is Biblical. I have given my version of it many times on BB. Well, I didn't come up with it, it's the work of many scholars.

    Do You believe in God?

How they can be so Biblically sound, but yet see the God of the Bible in way they do in their version of predestination is just unbelievable. It's one of the few arguments where I have to watch myself, I can go over the edge.

    Do You believe in God?

Very well said, Ben! I would be lying if I didn't admit I have much in common with the Calvinists, the hard core fundamentalism is alive and well. I just wish we didn't have predestination standing between us.

    Do You believe in God?

It's kinda like Cathode was saying about the Protestants being separated Brothers. I can't think of a better example of that than my IFB Church and that Calvinists. I guess the reason why that when I get started on it I pick up the big hammer.

    Do You believe in God?

Believe it or not, and this could be taken the wrong way by some, but I feel close to the Calvinist in the stand for what you have posted. And you're exactly right, we part ways at salvation. That's a shame, the IFB came from the same 'ol stump grounded in the fundamentals.

    Do You believe in God?

That's the 4th time, I'm sweating over here.

    Do You believe in God?

I'm confused, why are we all of a sudden agreeing so much? This is maybe the 3rd in a row, lol, am I doing something wrong, I'm worried.

    Do You believe in God?

Looks like you have it figured out. I think I'll wait to find out and not let the unknown fog my way through the Scriptures. We have to take what He gives and know when it's time to let the other go for now.

    Do You believe in God?

It's a relationship not found on this earth, there is nothing for it to be compared to for understanding. We could discuss all day, but the reality is we have no idea how that relationship unfolds in Scripture. We think we know from this and that which takes place, but we don't. It's right...

    Do You believe in God?

Regardless of what anyone says, Christ is not sitting on His Throne at this present time. He is sitting at the right hand of the Fathers Throne, until what? Until Christ's enemies are made His footstool. Then Christ will rule for 1000 years on His very own Throne.

    Do You believe in God?

I think you hit the nail on the head, we must trust the Lord in the things we can't understand. The relationship in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is a very complex one, and if God wanted us to understand it, or if we are at this present state able to understand it, He would have provided...

    Do You believe in God?

If God the Father calls Him God, then I think we should also. Heb. 1:6-8 "And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. But...

    Do You believe in God?

For example, Heb. 1:3 says that Christ is "the express image of His person (God the Father)" In other words Christ is the exact reproduction of God the Father. How is that to be understood? We know Christ is God, but what is that relationship?

    Do You believe in God?

Of course I do! The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are God in 3 distinct persons. The problem is that I can't understand that, and no one can explain it. We don't have the info to determine it, other than by opinion. For someone to say we must understand and believe the trinity to be saved is...

    Do You believe in God?

From this comes many opinions on what the Trinity is, how that relationship works, who is who in the grand scheme of things.

    Do You believe in God?

We know that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one in unity with same common goal. But how can 3 distinct persons be One God? Is that possible for the human mind to process?

Will the base stick with Trump?

That same reaction is sometimes seen from his supporters in Congress. There are some that trust him and will follow him in whatever he does.

Will the base stick with Trump?

I agree, the common sense approach to common sense folks creates loyalty, especially after it's proven time after time as with Trump and the MAGA folks.
