    Economic Denial

My Serbian isn't good enough and living among Eastern Orthodox with a recent history of ethnic cleansing would make me, as a Baptist, nervous ... but that is the beauty of America: You can move to Montenegro and the government will not stop you (or even discourage it). The average earnings...

    Economic Denial

The beauty of America is that unlike China and Russia and North Korea, NOBODY will stop you from leaving. So if you believe that there is someplace better to raise your children … then GO, raise them there with our blessings!

    Who killed Christ?

It was my people … I am descended from Italian immigrants, so it is not impossible that one of my ancestors drove the nails. However, from the human perspective, the Jewish Religious leaders plotted in secret, the Jewish people cheered and jeered in public, the Roman occupiers ultimately...

    The Birth of Israel

I have no objection whatsoever to people disagreeing with me (I am accustomed to it), however, the overwhelming majority of your post in response to me seemed completely unrelated to G_d foreshadowing details of the Messiah in people and events recorded in the OT (the essence of “typologies”)...

    The Birth of Israel

Since this is a topic on Israel and Egypt, and “typologies” have been mentioned, but not really explained clearly, I would like to offer an observation on Israel, Egypt, “typologies” and focus on just one very specific event with an explanation of how it points to Christ and reveals something...

Revelation is not about the FUTURE

I heard a talk on the Book of Revelation that made what I thought might be a valid point. Brandon Robbins suggested that Revelation was written to the people living at that time, people going through horrific persecution, to whom each of the “apocalyptic literature” symbols would have been...

    Ukraine War

… and if Trump does for Ukraine, what Biden accomplished in Afghanistan? (US withdrawal at any price, including complete defeat of everything we were attempting to accomplish. How will the US extract those resources once they are annexed into Russia?)

What Identifies A Christian As A Baptist?

Yet clearly Jesus‘ “rightly dividing” Torah was so antithetical to his contemporaries that they executed Him as a Blasphemer. I keep thinking of his famous words Matthew 5:27-28, 33-34, 38-39, 43-44 [ESV] 27 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall not commit adultery.' 28 But I say to...

What Identifies A Christian As A Baptist?

I 100% agree. I also believe that “God loves a cheerful giver” and each should “purpose in his heart” what he would give to both support the place where they fellowship (I like Air Conditioning and don’t object to supporting it) and giving to the needy. 10% is as good a figure as any, but...

The Thousand Year Reign of Christ on the Earth

Ummm … Revelation 20:1-6 [ESV] 1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain. 2 And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, 3 and threw him into the pit, and...

What Identifies A Christian As A Baptist?

Is it not interesting that Jesus specifically references all the other commandments and then REPEATEDLY violated Shabbat "traditions" [Jesus never violated the Law] ... but on the subject of 'observing sabbath', Jesus stated Mark 2:27! Nobody can change Saturday into Sunday, but we can meet "on...

What Identifies A Christian As A Baptist?

Growing up as a Lilly and Holly before embracing the atheism of my father, Church Music was always “thematic“ predictable and seasonally ‘seeker friendly’. When I was dragged from atheism to Christianity by the Holy Spirit, I found it perplexing (as an outsider) that songs in church all fell...

    Ukraine War

If only Ukraine had been content to live in peace and not invaded Russia and attempted to enslave the entire nation as second class citizens in the Ukrainian Empire! (Oh, wait … never mind.)

U.S. drowning in debt as Democrats block spending cuts?

Sorry, but after THREE COVID spending bills of 1 TRILLION DOLLARS each passed with bipartisan and overwhelming public support, NOBODY has the right to say ANYTHING about the Debt. We chose to spend cash like drunken sailors on Liberty and everyone bellied up to the bar for all they could eat.

    It doesn't make cents

Without pennies, all prices (including sales tax) will be rounded up to the nearest nickel. Without nickels, all prices (including sales tax) will be rounded up to the nearest dime.

    It doesn't make cents

Just one small step towards needing the Mark of the Beast to buy and sell. (Someone had to say it, so I figured we might as well get it out of the way ;) )

    Reconciling Two

Once you look at the CONTEXT of 2 Peter 3:9, there is NOTHING to “reconcile”. Both say the same thing!

    Reconciling Two

Oh good grief. What is the CONTEXT of 2 Peter 3? WHO is “US” in ”us-ward”? Why is God “longsuffering”? Answer those questions and THEN you will understand what Peter is talking about when he states that God is “not willing that any should perish”.
