I was asking @Ascetic X , but why do you wish to avoid them? Read them for yourself and state your opposition to them. I don’t think they can mean anything but near and soon, not millennia later.

Obviously we’re closer to the end than we were this morning. That’s not up for debate. I believe in a literal, physical, future second advent of our Lord Jesus Christ.
