It certainly keeps with the pattern set forth in scripture. I believe God inserted Adam into the garden and gave him dominion over the earth knowing full well that it would provoke Satan to jealousy. Thus the story of our redemption began.

I believe the 'war in heaven' was mirrored on earth during the time of Christ and the apostles. I believe jealousy explains Satan's deception of Eve, i.e., rebellion. Satan and the spirits had access to God in heaven during OT times but no longer under the NC.
