Jesus, the One who builds His church (and the gates of hell can't stand against it), the Author and Finisher of our faith, says the Spirit will, not might, guide us into All truth. That includes the doctrines of grace which are so clearly taught throughout scripture and especially the Gospel of John. Read the whole book in context. All of His sheep will come to believe all of His truth. Thankfully those who reject it will finally be silent! What a blessed day! If you believe that your so-called "free will" is the deciding factor in salvation, then you are saved by your own work and that is what you are trusting in as the determining factor in your salvation. You believe you will get to heaven because of your choice. You then are not trusting Jesus and His work and you will be judged according to the final passage below.
However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.
Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
